    Flowmaster 40, secondary filter removed
is a flowmaster 40 a good muffler for a 4 cylinder? Where is the carbon filter located and how do I remove it?

The carbon filter is in the air cleaner box, attached to the "lid" with melted plastic studs (sort of like rivets). Carefully drill the tops of the plastic rivets just enough to remove the melted "cap", and the filter will pop off. I used a 3/16" (I think) drill bit by hand to do this. Do this away from the filter box so you don't get any plastic fragments on the filter - you are on the "clean" side of the intake...
