    We had been dating for about 5 years and it was Christmas time. She thought she would get a ring for Christmas. So when I handed her the big clothing box you could see the disappointment in her eyes. She opened the box to find a white fur Snow-Bunny jacket. She tried to act gracious about it.

    I suggested she try it on, which she did. As she instinctively put her hands in the pockets she felt something odd in the right side. She pulled it out and it was a little black velvet covered box and 2-inches square.

    She opened it up and you know the rest. We celebrated 32 years this past August.

    Well we leave in the morning but had a good time up in Harpers Ferry. Came in late last night and leaving tomorrow morning, so quick trip and probably didn’t get a chance to see all that this area offers, but fun nonetheless. Got a little hike in up to Maryland Heights, actually a pretty difficult hike, uphill to get there but mostly downhill coming back. Then we went to a little distillery in Charles Town and got a couple of bottles after a free tasting session.

    Nice! My bro in law and his fam go to KY every once in a while, with the kids, for fun stuff. Not sure what part of KY though. They also shoot up to Columbus OH to watch the Columbus Crew (soccer) a few times.
