Wow... right on. Whatever floats your boat. But $20 to me on a $1200 drone isn't an issue. I'll buy mine off Amazon and be happy with them I suppose.

I do need to upgrade the firmware on mine though. Just haven't gotten around to it yet

I don't want them bad enough to justify spending an extra $10 on shipping alone. I'm just disappointed with DJI in the fact that they provide only one method of shipping on an item that could theoretically be sent in a standard envelope and mailed for a buck

I understand the rational but they won't come in a envelope. If you notice they come in boxes so they don't get messed up. I agree $10 is "a little" much but not that much. Not enough to make me not buy them since they provide an improvement over the original craft for a cheap price (even if it's $20).

Which is why I said theoretically. They pack them up safe and sound so they don't take damage before getting to you. But, they could still send them in a flat rate usps box for $5. It is what it is. I'll get them eventually, until then I'll deal with me "loud" props

I guess I'm lucky over here to have a local company that sells and services DJI exclusively. I bought both of my Spark drones (yes, I have two now) from them and will probably buy a Mavic or P4P Obsidian from them in the near future. When I had an issue with landing in a bush because of my own error (Forgot that under 30M RTH just lands the bitch in place and the VPS didn't work properly.) they replaced it with zero hassle because one of the motor caps broke and the gimbal was wonky afterwards. The replacement Spark has probably 40+ flights on it now with zero issues and I am getting to be a better pilot so that helps. I spend more time in Sport mode learning how to maneuver the little beast. I have heard the same thing about their service and experienced it.

My P4A had a Gimbal error after FW update and they wanted me to send in a 5 day old drone to exchange for a used refurb. Fuck that.

I did the living room drones with the kids and we all lost interest after a few weeks. Are the $1200 so much better to continue the interest as a hobby?

It's a super stable aerial camera with a 2 mile ish range that has a nice HD view. Either that's useful to you or it's not.

Depends what you want to do with it?

I had around 5K in my Inspire but sold it and bought a Mavic for the portability.

I haven't had time to even pull mine out of the bag since we got back from Colorado back in July. So I imagine I'm a couple of updates behind.

There is a new fixed wing mode that is supposed to make it run a little smoother. I haven't tried it yet.

Got a dji spark couple weeks ago. I've never flown a drone and flying this for the first time was so easy I'm really looking forward to doing dronography? Just took its first flight over open ocean water in pacific grove ca

I guess I've fallen down the rabbit hole. I bought an Elfie (selfie drone) a couple of weeks ago. I've already ordered parts to build a little FPV racer to serve as a platform for my GoPro Session 4...

Depending on how that goes, I plan on building a larger model with a gimbal for my Hero 4.
