They're not the only game in town, but seemed to know what they were talking about. Cheers.

I was referring to the reviewer in the video as having a vested interest. Headlight Revolutions video pushes their product on the videos so there is a bit of a conflict. I wouldn't say that the Supernova's isn't a great headlight, I've never used them, but at around $100 I wasn't going to take a chance. Maybe you should do a review on them.

If you end up getting either set, let us know your thoughts. I'll try to get a night shot later and see how it comes out and I'll post a picture....

Take some pictures of the install and do a review. It will some of us decide if the Supernova's are worth the cost.

Taken with iphone this morning, slightly grainy, but I think you can clearly see the output from the Beamtechs LED bulbs.

Thanks for the scotch tape tip on the map light! I didn't think I'd ever get that bulb out until I re-read your post.

Here ya go bud. The 4 item LEDs are for the vanity mirriors. The lone one is for the cab light and one of the two LEDs are either for the map lights or the license plate lights. When you order them the ones that actually comes in small boxes are the license plate lights. Installation is very simple. But the led bulbs are a bit oversized. But it does workand it is beautiful.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I put the map lights and dome lights from OP in last evening. Very nice! In order to get the dome lights to really fit well I made them look like the factory Edison bulbs - I used a bastard file to reshape the ends to be more like:

    \_
    /

    Instead of
    \
    /

They fit in easier, didn't distort the bracket, and clip in snugly so i doubt they will fall out on the trail.

I put these in my 17 Tacoma, low beam and fog lights. I was going into it expecting minimal results, but once in, they're crazy bright, I barely use my high Beams anymore, and are a nice white (may be a slight tint of blue, but hard to tell, as they look very white to me. Have had non stop compliments from passengers and people who have come up to stop lights next to me. I need to order a pair for my high Beams, but am looking at a different brand that is supposed to throw light much further than these. I'll update once I get them in and installed.

I have OPT 7s in my lows and fogs, both the original fluxbeams. Highs are the OEM h9s. I want to put the low beam OPT 7s in the high beams. What should I put as a substitute in the low beams. I like the OPT 7s in the low beams, but if I am going to put those in the high beams I'd like to improve light output in the lows. I essentially always drive with the lows and fogs on. I've never had anyone flash their lights at me. Are the newer OPT 7s (8400 lumens) better than the originals?
    Need advice.

I'm not a fan of the Opt7. They are cheaply made and use a brittle plastic. Headlight Revolution did a review of them and claimed they're some of the worst LED bulbs tested. I tend to agree.

The Beamtech from Amazon or the same bulb called Auxbeam also on Amazon. Amazon had them for only $23 and the driver is part of the bulb. Ive used the ones I posted in my '12 and they worked great. Good sealed connections, adjustable bulb to get a good pattern and all metal construction.
