Nope insurance will report it. Hit a coyote last year in another car and it left one with no police report.

Carfax is such a bullshit company......way too much emphasise and faith is placed in Carfax reports which are often inaccurate.

Carfax is just a private company that relies on information being provided to them by body shops and insurance companies

Deleted the pics off my phone as soon as it was taken car of as I didn't want to look at them any longer; but I did the same exact thing a few months back and the front end of my fairly new TRDOR looked exactly like yours....I only paid the $500 deductible, but it was about $3,800 in repairs for the damages but that is here in Ga where the cost of living is dirt cheap. Best of luck hombre, I know the pain!

Where you as surprised as me on how much damage can be caused by just tapping a pole? I was barely going 5 mph!

I would ask your claim rep why you have to pay your deductible. If you were trying to avoid someone else's negligence then it should be their fault and thus you would have to pay nothing.
Unless of course you didn't approach that person and get their insurance information.

Can't tell from the pic how much the cost will be. You'll need a new headlight but not sure if you'll need a new quarter panel or not, or if they will just bondo sculpt and repaint.

Insurance companies don't care about your record, they care about profit and leveraging your few marks on your record to maximize said profit.
