Question for y’all, would 33s fit on a stock suspension. I’ve got a 3rd gen and I know the wheel wells are smaller than I'd like haha

Yes and no for 255/85 and 285/75.

Depends on brand for the 33s as some are true and some come just under 33. Also depends on wheels, Toyota OEM wheels seem to workout, aftermarket wheels...well good luck if they fit and be ready to cut or CMC.

I have 255/85/16 aka tall skinny/pizza cutters and don't have a problem rubbing when I was stock suspension.

Search around on the forums and you'll find some good info.

285/70s with bilstein 5100s up front... with a cab mount chop. clears great... but stock suspension would be hard to accomplish

That’s dope, yeah I’m eventually gonna go with a 6” lift but can’t afford the tires and the lift at once so I was gonna get the tires first then the lift when I can, but don’t want to run them if they will rub to much

6 inch lift and 33s you'll be far from rubbing haha. usually with 6 inches you should go with 35s so your truck doesn't look like it skipped "leg day".

See that’s what I thought also, but the dude at the tire place I’m getting them from said the 35s won’t fit with the 3rd gen well set up

if you have a 6 inch lift with 35s there should be some minor trimming but you'll be fine. sounds like the guy doesn't want to do the work... after i bought my truck from the dealership i work at i bought the parts and went to my local shop and they did great...

Don't give in to that crap. I'm on 2 1/2in lift and I'm on 35's. It was work but worth it. Don't forget if you go bigger than 33's you might want to consider regearing as well. Also say goodbye to MPG's.

I love this saying "looks like you skipped leg day ".
I used to hate leg day! Would miss it occasionally :(. Now I hate leg day...I hate leg day so much, I won't ever miss it :).

Just save for a lift and do it all at once. If you rub, you don’t want to hack things up only to lift later and find out you didn’t need to do all that.

This is what I did. Just slowly accumulated parts until I could barely walk through my apartment. Then put it all together in one go.

Exactly, luckily I have a barn instead to put parts in. But exactly how I'm putting together my Tacoma transformation.
Collecting all the parts, then putting it together all at once.
