Looks like ^^^ beat me to it... He tweeted that he took the week off since Bama had the week off. Maybe he'll throw in at least the UT/KY game in his next video?

Bama plays 3 more in the next 4 weeks, though. It'll be 5 of 6 if we make the SECC.

i figured since there were a few upsets he might get in there, and really after the TN and FL monumental weekend, I didn't figure he could pass that up

I think Iowa State's coach will be looked at for Tennessee.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Rumor boards circling that Scott Frost may jump up to UF this offseason? I would love to see him get a big time coaching gig. The dude is brilliant

I'm hoping Kirby will prove why firing Richt was a good idea. I think Richt would have blown a game by now if he was still coach.

Still think Bama should be #1.

It's not that big a deal to me, it's gonna iron itself out since we are Likely gonna play each other. And yet so many Bama fans are salty.

I actually kinda preferred to stay at 2. I'm afraid of that number 1 ranking giving us a big head and would give something to prove come December. Now that could now work in reverse against us.

Haven't heard a peep from all the people last year saying we should've kept Richt. Hmmm, wonder why that is?

Imo he has already proved it.

Richt would have lost 1, possibly 2 games already. I firmly believe that. I was laughing at everyone saying we should have kept him last year. Even these rankings don’t mean that much. If we struggle against SC, we could easily go from 1-6 in next week’s rankings.

The only thing it makes me think is that maybe, just maybe, if we go 12-1 with that 1 being a close loss in the SECCG to bama, we still might be able to make it in over a ND team. I’m not starting a we want Bama chant, but I’m starting to think we can make it a game in the new Mercedez benz stadium.

I have faith that Kirby will keep them focused for the Gamecocks but this game could be a bit of a trap game. I mean we just put a beat down on arguably our biggest rival that has given us fits for years. Now we're heading into a game vs a team that has been very quiet in terms of media and relativity. But thanks for the motivation.

a lot of bad ass stuff
Both Smart and Saban, had similar things to say about the playoff poll, before it came out. That was that it doesn't matter, until the end of the regular season/conference championship games. Which they are correct. From what I have heard, the UGA players who have commented on being 1 (or the possibility of it) reflected, the mentality of Smart, and stated that they know they have more business to take care of, and thats their focus. Myself, I believe if the players keep buying into what Smart is doing, and telling them, and they continue to get better, they can beat Bama, in Atlanta.

The only salt I need is for  HAHA!

I am completely fine with the rankings being a die hard Bama fan. Makes the target a little small on us for a bit. The inevitable will happen with Bama vs UGA for the SECCG so now its just a waiting game. I do just find it funny that Bama got jumped on their off week. I have never understood how a team can lose its ranking by not playing but I'm not part of the committee so what do I know?

I would love for my Gamecocks to knock off UGA Saturday, but I just don't see it happening. I think it will be tight the first half into the 3rd quarter, but after that UGA's depth will start telling the tale. I think it will be close (within 10 pts) through 3 quarters but in the end I think UGA by 17. UGA 34 USC 17.

That being said, USC is having a better year thus far than a lot of prognosticators thought they were capable of. 8-4 is likely and 9-3 possible as I do not think Clemson is as strong as they were last year or as strong as UGA. I put Clemson as a possible win if USC plays a mistake free game. IIRC the predictions were that they would go 5-7 or 6-6 this year (though 6-6 is still possible if they do not take care of business)

That's actually pretty smart when you come to think of it - what better way to get a team riled up into abandoning what works?
