I have to do Open Enrollment for insurance today. Big PITA. Coyotes were out back behind house today when wife put her dog out. Had to laugh yesterday. My two dogs were by the pond yesterday and all I saw was their ass up in the air. They found a muskrat tunnel. Wish I had camera with me.

Good morning hope those on the East Coast are hanging on OK. Hunting website said most of Maine is without power. Unless you have a generator. But those that do apparently have internet connection.

Yeah my open enrollment starts Nov. 1 and is in the middle of this go live. And I have to go find a shot cart at work to get the flu shot on top of it. Almost like rubbing salt in the wound the group I hunt with in SD all started on Saturday. Hmmm wonder how much a rat hide goes for now days?

I installed a lockout.
Not sure of your laws but no box for me.
Run all circuits anytime I want.
All parts, labor, like 250...

nice and cool down here in florida! morning all. dropped off the 2 boys at the vet earlier and will pick up later. i need a nap.

 

I have a power transfer switch. I have 6 circuits hooked up to it. Wish I would've gotten a bigger swich, 8 or 10 circuits. My advice is get the biggest switch that you run. My neighbor who is an electrician hooked it up for me, no cost.

It's pretty nasty.

 

That's the prob with transfer switches. You have to decide what you want.

 

@Steadfast Mount this transfer switch between meter base and panel. Install 30 or 40 amp 4 wire male receptacle (depending on size of your gen set) in a waterproof box, connect to emergency side of TS and you are done. Personally I would not want the electronics of an automatic transfer switch because sooner or later it will take a dump. Seen it happen many times.
