In september of 2017, I traded in my first love. I spent countless hours pondering on how I can make this little 2wd first gen have potential. Spent lots of money and ended up sending her down to the lot. Although it was hard to say goodbye, it was easy to welcome my new second gen IMG_7777.jpg
Welcoming in my new 2010 aclb 4x4. Although my new acquired debt hung over my head, my heart get warm.
    IMG_7776.jpg
I couldn't stand the ugly bulky front skid so I had that removed as well as painting my grille and spray rhino lining my rear bumper. I wouldn't suggest rattle can liner, it doesn't produce the texture one would hope for. IMG_7820.jpgIMG_7868.jpg IMG_7867.jpg
Next thing I new I needed was a camper shell. I camp, mountain bike, and have a mobile detailing service so I needed to be able to lock away my belongings. I found a used shell about 100 miles away and jumped on it. Unfortunately the next day someone posted up the identical shell in the same town I had just driven to, for about 300 less....

10/21 did a side step delete for more clearance. Have a set of level 8 16" bronze wheels on the way, as well as some toyo open country 255/85 that I'm itching to throw on.

Truck took a big turn today, got the toytecs on in under 2 hours as well as a swat bar delete and abs killswitch mod. Ran over to discount and got the wheels and tires thrown on and it sits like a beast!
Sway bar delete, crazy how much this mod made it feel like a real truckIMG_7906.jpgIMG_7910.jpg Toytecs on at full preload, rides a little rough but I'm sure they will settle IMG_7911.jpgFinally the abs killswitch mod, @05tacomabro doing fine work getting that switch in there.IMG_7909.jpgIMG_7908.jpg

Thanks man! I agree, the whole truck looks changed and I'm very happy about it. I'm not too sure as for the mud flaps. I really don't want to speckle my doors but maybe when I get some sliders to help prevent that

11/4 went out and did some playing. Shot some guns and drank beer like any good Toyota lover would do

Went and did a little something tonigh and got huge rewards. Rear end feels like a cloud compared to stock and now the truck sits level.

11/27 took a trip down south to Gardner Canyon. Found the most rough wheeling I’ve done in my truck yet. Video to come

Did a cb install tonight along with a quick detail. Found an old Uniden so I thought I’d put it to work.
