Considering the Interco Truxxus MT for my next set because of its siping. Imagine they would be wet rock friendly. My only complaint with the KM2 so far is how they act on ice. Super sketchy. Imagine it will get worse as they wear. Also, interested to see how the KM3 turns out. Have been hearing rumors and seeing sneak pics for over a year. Who knows when they'll actually drop.

The Truxxus look like ok tires. Not a great tire at anything but good at everything. Look at the km2s tread pattern. There's no way you could possibly think they would be good on ice. Haha they are the best on rocks and in the mud. The KM3 looks to be better at everything the KM2 is good at plus good in the areas the KM2 isn't. They keep saying they are altering the design. Let them change it all they want. If the product lives up to the hype, I'll wait it out.

It's easy to make a tire that's really good at 1 specific thing. That's damn near Interco's whole line up. Haha a tire that's really good at everything takes a little more science. The STT Pros seem to be on the high end of that list currently.

Not saying I expected the km2 to be good on ice. I knew it going in. Really doesn’t matter. That’s like one week of the year here.

Just putting in my research. If the truxxus was, in fact, a badass MT that did good in water/ice, then I suspect everyone would have them. But that’s not the case. I can’t find anyone with them. There has to be a catch.

The km2 is great off-road. I especially like how “okay” they are on the street.

Nope, at this point you’re either in or you’re out. Not enough time for indecision.

    Three more days :bananadance:

    What have you seen?

Longevity is the least of my concerns. I don’t drive this thing enough to worry about that. I want the nastiest tire I can get that isn’t horrible on the road. The km2 has been great for that so far.

First off, everyone did awesome. Second off, they actually all owe me thanks for an exciting day. We could have just cruised green trails all day.

Also, my KM2 tread is wearing great and theyve done just fine in wet/slippery conditions. Just for a data point.

The catch is probably that in general, Interco tires are "cheap" tires. They are notorious for numerous things with the goods being durability and the best of the best off road when used in an element favorable to their strengths. As far as bias ply tires go, their entire line up is probably the most extensive and consistently badass line up of any manufacturer. With that comes a reputation for lack of streetability, more specifically with a consistency in proper balancing from tire to tire. That's the single biggest issue I've heard/ read about any Interco tire produced. Seems to be hit or miss on being able to balance them.

Yes, you see this throughout all brands of tires but most brands aren't "known" for having balancing issues. It's more of a fluke then an "expectation". As with most things, more people will complain about a problem then praise a job well done but you can take numbers of complaints versus products sold and come to a reasonable conclusion.

Now I can't say that for sure the tires you buy from them won't balance out nor that the complaints have come in some kind of agenda based bias but on the face of it, the problem of them having "loose" tire specs seems plausible seeing that they are known for their bias ply tires and in general, the people buying these tires don't give a fuck about how their 40" Super swampers balance out driving from the trailer to the rock garden.

P.S. I just re-read this and for some reason read it like a TV host of a weird science show on Nickelodeon. Except for the last sentence of course. Maybe a Nick-at-Night show. Haha

Hmmmm. An exciting day seems debatable for a few folks who may or may not need new rocker panels. Haha

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.

Lol!!! They are LOUD, like wear ear plugs while driving loud, screw that.

I will never use another interco product on a street driven truck ever again. I was running 12oz+ in air soft pellets in my ssrs and they still shook anytime over 35mph. I could watch one tire bounce down the highway lol! My Toyos have zero weights and are vibe free on beadlocks up to 90 (refuse to go any faster). I thought I had death wobble from my crappy fab work, turns out it was just tires.

Yeah km2s suck on ice but that's any mud terrain type tire. They suck until you have 3" plus of snow, then they are sweet. I fixed that problem with a DD Camry.
