And this is why Mass is going to cameras, to try to stop the cheating. Probably cameras were the only way they could think of to stop the dishonesty, although there will probably be other loopholes that will be discovered by the cheaters.

California had been doing this crap to its citizens for years now. Welcome to our hell, lol.

I guess we at least are allowed to modify things so long as it's using CARB approved parts (aka the company making the parts has paid 10s of thousands of $$$$$$$ to the state of CA for the CARB certification).

If they ask how much lift, i would set just say 2". It's believable.

The camera part is actually a pretty good idea to keep people honest but the kinda dumb part is some of the policies that determine what passed and doesn’t pass. Lying about a 3” lift or wider tires is much different than lying about headlights that don’t work or blind oncoming traffic at all times.

What harm would a louder exhaust do?

Wonder how long it is going to be before all the inspections pile up and there is not enough "watchers" to check on the stations?

I am gonna take a wild guess at being just annoying in general, maybe could lead up to customized pieces of exhaust trickibg emissions maybe idk man.

But yet it's okay for those Harley idiots to modify their exhaust and wake up neighborhoods.

Glad I found this thread, my sticker is up tomorrow. I've been dreading and putting off getting a sticker. My lift is about 3.5" total including tires, and I have aftermarket front and rear bumpers. From what I've been reading I might fail because of the front bumper. Think I saw in the rules the stock crash bumper needs to be in place, could anyone clarify this rule?

Mass has no rule about overheight or oversized bumpers. Dont bring it up and i doubt anyone will notice its not even there.
