    Had a topic deleted from TW, about making Kalifornia into three states. Got too political. Guess that's not allowed, but they allow profanity. Worst moderated forum I belong to.
    Having a little work done around the place. :)

    Morning all:
    :ohsnap: Hit the big 70 today! Was just thinking, been around for 7 decades or 70 years, don't know which sounds worse! :rolleyes:
    The good news is--at least some of us made it this far! :amen:
    This seems to be getting more and more fitting though :turtleride: ! :laughing:
    Was down at the reloading bench for a good part of yesterday, got to keep at it so I don't forget how to do it! :facepalm:
    Good part of what I'm reloading is that I don't have to buy any brass for the .223, seems like everyone has an AR-15 and I can find plenty of brass laying around at the local rod and gun club I belong to, just need to get there before the other guys who are looking for it!

    It's funny, I have the opposite opinion. The profanity I don't care that much about, mostly. Sometimes it gets out of hand but it seems to me as though the moderators are there when it does.

    But keeping the politics out is a huge gift for me. It's just about the only online place I can go and not see a bunch of stuff that has no purpose other than to inflame people. Add the fact that TW doesn't slam you with ads ( THANKS @tcBob ), plus it seems like folks who buy Tacomas are pretty friendly and helpful in general. For me at least, that all adds up to this being one of my go-to places when I'm socializing online.

    Plus where else can I go and hang out with a bunch of other has-beens like us! :p

    Had my right eye cataract surgery today. Everything went well and I am ready to get back to normal. Got to keep using 3 kinds of eye drops for about 3 weeks though.

    Evening all you fine folks:thumbsup::hattip:

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Carl . I'm right behind you. Will hit the 70 next June. My mind says I'm 20 but my body says otherwise.:facepalm: Hope you had a good one.

    Agreed Dave, sometimes I rant for a little, but politics and religion are 2 topics that can cause all kinds of problems in a forum. As for "Has Beens", VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV See @tacoma Mikes post.

    :thumbsup::rofl:
    Glad the surgery turned out good for you Gary. :yay:

    Good to hear that .... I have my initial "consultation" this morning before potential cataract surgery on my right eye. Should be interesting.

    Happy birthday Carl !

    Tex, you will like the results although I will say that are not as dramatic and sudden as when I had LASIK surgery. In my case the improvement seems to be more evolutionary i.e. got better throughout the week after surgery.

    Many thanks to Carl, Ken, Susan, Mike, Tex, Dave ( hope I haven't overlooked anyone) and others for their well wishes after the two cataract surgeries. We are blessed to live during a time when health care is able to fix many of the maladies we face in our golden years.

    My friend Carl can be like my younger brother since his birthday only leaves him three years my junior now.

    Well, since you feel that way Gary, I can send you about 400-500 .223 cases to reload for me! o_O :laughing: Just when I thought I was set to go for years with reloads, I buy a caliber that I previously didn't own and am back at it! :facepalm:Biggest part was reloading all types of combinations to find out what it shoots best, now I can load lots of the one combination that I found to be very accurate, and then play with one or two others that were reasonably accurate as well.

    Hope you continue to do well, not much of a well wisher/touchy, feelie guy. :) My visit to my eye guy recently said early stages of issues to my eyes, nothing to worry about yet. Something also I never heard about, can't recall what the name was for some crystals in my eyes. Said to eat greens, would actually remove the crystals. Wanted to see me in six months. Slow downhill I guess.
