I think that is the issue with Snugtop, They serve the Western US from what I understand.

From what I've read and understand, you are correct. My reason for asking @yonah is because his profile shows NC. Granted the top could have been purchased anywhere.

ARE is the only topper brand that has a dealer 'local' to me so I'll probably be going that route, or Leer, when the time comes. Just trying to entertain all options.

Lots of folks seem to like the ARE, I preferred the Snugtop but having a local dealer or not would kind of drive my decision also. I really like the windoors, and the flip down front window. Also the remote lock would be nice but I don't have that and doesn't really bother me. I am happy to leave it unlocked when empty. Thinking if someone wanted to break in they could and see nothing in there vs. break it to find out.

I've owned Leer and Century (Leer offbrand) tops before. I have no quality complaints and I think they look they best. ARE is a front runner due to the local dealer.

I like the slider windoors from Snugtop and ARE much more than Leer. Looks like they would provide better ventilation. Windoors, at least on one side, and fold down front window have always been features I've felt would be nice to have if I ever ordered a new top. I'm cheap so I've only purchased used toppers previously. Unfortunately used Quicksand toppers are all but non-existent.

I will be purchasing a snugtop rebel as well in a couple of weeks. I've had snugtop canopies on previous trucks before with no issues. The one thing that I have noticed is that the bolts that come with the canopy in order to mount it to the bedrail system are not stainless steel and tend to oxidize over time. I've even had a few break off due to being frozen from too much rust when I tried to remove the canopy in the past, but that was alleviated by using stainless steel bolts.

Man, I paid about $3k in SoCal for a Rebel w/ Sportsman package, folding front sliding window, pet screens, and pro-lock tied to fob. Guess the sunshine tax applies to more than real estate.

Got a few quotes NorCal: Highest price $2700 plus tax for Snugtop Rebel.
Got price for Leer 100XR and right around same price point, but with less options than Snugtop Rebel with sportsman package.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go with the Cab Hi. If someone should smash your rear glass on the Rebel, you'll be driving around for a month with no back glass before Snugtop will deliver one and take your $600. If you get a framed rear window, You can get a new piece of glass cut and installed for $200 in a day. Learned my lesson for sure.

Glass aside, the top has served me well.
