I have a very good contact at Toyota through a family member. I've sent them an email asking about approximate release date and year over year change information. I'll let everyone know what I hear, even if it's a non-ur-biz type response.

Thanks.....I know inventory for 2010 is real low...they only have 2 six speed access cabs in the whole southeast reigon. I don't think they can wait that long to start making the 2011's without running out of trucks.

Someplace, can't remember if here or another forum, it was posted that there are a couple of changes to the offerings such as a 5 lug 4 cyl. DC shortbed.

My dealer has 15 Taco's on the lot. The GM told me they ordered more because the NUMI plant was closing (now closed) and production wouldn't be up in running in Texas until later this year.

The above plant was shared with GM. GM decided to no longer utilize that plant leaving toyota to bear the full cost of the plant. Toyota decided to move the plant to Texas with an expectation of full production around November. This maybe one of the contributing factors for next to no incentives on new tacomas.

I can't believe Toyota would shut down production of the Tacoma for months as they switch production plants (NUMI to Texas). They would have needed to build up a very large stock pile of trucks for that to happen.

My dealer said the same thing about the lack of discounts on the Tacoma, it's a consistent seller.

Just at my dealer last week, there were well over 20 New Taco's there. And we have 5 Toyota dealers in the county.

It's not like a manufacture can flip a switch and up their production 6 fold in one month so they can then be without production for 6 months.

I'm saying Toyota probably retooled and trained employees the Texas plant to handle the Tacomas BEFORE they shut down the NUMMI plant.

Oh my bad I just assumed you were going to actually give us some facts based on the title of your thread.

Here are other threads on the rumors of the 2011...

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-you-think-new-2011-models-will-out-sale.html

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/79391-when-will-toyota-announce-2011-tacoma.html

And the title of this thread was a tease.
