Nice truck OP! Love my mall crawler! Yes I love the way it looks. Yes it is 6" pro-comp lift. Yes they are 20's with 35's. Yes it is stock gearing. Total times off-road 0...

Nice trucks guys, ignore the haters. I've wheeled with lots of old toys with drop bracket lifts that did just fine on the trail. Your's have great approach and departure angles and good underbelly clearance. Good tire placement makes the bracket issue not a problem. Now lets see some scratches on those things.

At least you admit it lol
But how is it with stock gearing I'd imagine you barely have a 6th gear if even 5th

I live on the East coast and it is flat so I am sure that makes things a little easier. But I have the same issues as everyone else with the gearing. Maybe it is a little worse with the heavy tires and all. I have just learned to live with it. I may get it re-geared eventually. The one thing I noticed was when pulling 4,600 #'s was going up a really steep hill on a persons driveway it was pretty bad. The truck barely crawled up it. I guess the gearing might helped with that. I don't do a lot of hauling though so it is fine. I admit I am a noob on lifts as such. I just wanted a lift and aggressive look to the truck. If I knew now what I knew then I might have followed the advice of some others here on better ways of lifting it. I would like to play with it one day on the trails or have the option to if I wanted to, but it is a pavement princess. I will be getting less aggressive tires the next time as well. :)

Could've sworn I've seen that truck before somewhere then realized you're in Bradenton... Awesome build, always like how 420s look on trucks.

    Nice truck Smikels,
wish I had the cash for those bumpers, I really need a winch to feel save for some of the places I go alone. But as this is my second vehicle I will have to take it slow. Definitely re-gearing is the best way to go. However when in 4x4 just never put your truck in 4wheel hi and it should do pretty good.

BigBoar...Hey since you haven't gotten an answer 4wheelparts starts their pro comp lift at about $1600. It all depends on what you want and all. If you plan to do lots of off-roading they say stay away from these type lift kits "BDS, PROCOMP, Rough Country" as they aren't practical.

What do you mean by not using 4-hi? I want to make sure I don't do something wrong to mess any thing up lol. I have really only put the truck in 4 hi lube things here and there as I have not put my truck in any situation where I have gotten stuck. Mainly working in my yard or something is about all so far. :)

What he said wasn't really clear or made sense, but what I took from it was that it's possible to regear only the rear diff, but if you do don't go into 4HI because then the diffs will be different ratios.

What is your exact tire size and what is your offset on wheels? Any rubbing?
