New to this thread so I've got a question for who ever can lead me in the right direction. Plans for my truck are to add fiberwerx +6 fenders and TC +3.5 long travel. Question is what is everyone doing for rear end axle I don't want to use spacers to keep the rear as wide as the front, though id switch to a TRD tundra rear. Has anyone done this and did the 4.10 gears work well for day to day driving?

    ...too much shit to list.
You want the rear a couple inches narrower so it doesn't push in corners. Also makes mall parking easier.
First gen tundra rear axle is only 1" wider than a second gen taco axle. Mostly a worthless investment considering it's the same size ring gear. Better off with a junkyard 9". Most people run hubcentric wheel spacers until they blow up the rear end or can afford a different rear axle.

Unless, not making assumptions on intelligence level, he’s referring to a 2nd gen Tundra rear, which is wider, but 5-lug

Ive only done minimal research so far so my knowledge of the options is lacking. I did know that I needed to stay slightly narrower in the rear I just don't want it to be a massive difference. I think I'm already 2" wider over all in the front with the maxtrac spindle lift I put on, at least it looks that way anyway.

Most people that don't like wheel spacers wouldn't give a second thought to riding in a Porche with 2 or 3 peice wheels on a racetrack weekend. It's essentially the same thing...

I def want to do it right the first time instead of throwing money away on throw away parts. I was just thinking the TRD Tundra axle because it already has an electronic locker which is one thing id like to have.

2nd/3rd gen tundras are a hair over 72". Stock Tacoma is 65". 3.5" over LT up front makes the front WMS-WMS 72."
Again having an equal WMS-WMS front/rear and the truck will want to push in the corners. An even wider rear and it will understeer even more.

And of course you'll have to redrill the rotors and hubs to 6x6.5 instead of 5x150 bolt pattern.

    Or that. Dick

Uhmmmm. You don't pair maxtrac spindles WITH an LT kit.

TRD Tundra has an electronic LSD, not a locking diff.

understandable but with all due respect, Maxtrac spindles and KO2s are not really "invested". Just wait until you open up the can of worms that is long travel.

He is also using his own kit, which is a 6" over per side. Makes his front WMS-WMS 77"

Lol that thing looks ridiculous in person. It's not even a normal sized vehicle anymore. It's like a square with track width equal to wheelbase lol.
