I wonder if that will apply to the bumper that is rotting inside and will probably not go back on again. ;) I would love that.
I am making a list of items I should have them replace as long as I'm not paying for labor.
    Suspension, Bumper,
    Any other suggestions you guys?

Service manager just told me Toyota will not send them the rest of the parts if I do not agree to paying for the crap they break while taking apart my truck. They want me to give them $600 or they wont do it. It sounds like they are trying to double dip me and warranty.
My truck frame job isn't on toyota.com/owners yet.... Shady shit. I need to call the law firm asap.

P.S. the service manager used to be a writer. -They- quoted me over 1k$ when I asked how much to replace the slave cylinder a year ago.

    2009 Tacoma (Highlights)
My rear leaf springs were replaced 6 months ago. Frame inspected and passed
5 weeks ago I went to have my O2 sensor replaced and the frame failed.
Was given a 2017 Highlander as a rental

Frame came in yesterday and they are working on replacement.
Called from service center today recommended that I have the 2 rear wheel cylinders, 2 brake lines, and bracket replaced that were covered under warranty. Total $564

I read an earlier post about a list of everything that should be replaced. Can you post the link or image?

So maybe someone knows this answer to this question:

My truck was originally sold in VA and was owned in NJ up until 60,xxx miles when it was sold to a NC owner, so technically it was in one of the effected states. It now has ~108,xxx after living in NC and SC and now back to NC.

I've tried looking around and don't see any issues other than maybe at the welds. Would they even take the time to look and see if there are any issues?

Take a look at the letter in this thread, the Toyota document states in bold print "No Cost" to the owner. The first dealer I took my Tacoma to told me that I could expect to pay for all non covered parts. They currently had a tacoma in the shop where the owner had a $1600 bill and they were not done yet. Needless to say I took it to another dealer. They found qualifying holes in the frame and put me in a new camry until they determine if its safe to drive.

Just a follow up to previous post:
Truck was returned with a new frame. I've haven't had a chance to crawl under and check everything out yet.
In addition to the $564 in parts, they broke the front caliper and billed me another $150 (which was covered under the aftermarket warranty)

Go to a different dealer or call Toyota.
I paid nothing out of pocket for the frame replacement.

My My time flies! It is now 369 day since I got my Tacoma back from Toyota of Annapolis! 10/16/2016. While they had the truck for close to 8 months I had given them my 2005 Double Cab short bed Silver Toy which was squeaking, and rattling and moaning like an old man what I got back was a totally new frame brand new suspensions components, New Skyjacker 3 inch suspension lift installed, All new Brakes all brake lines replaced free due to corrosion also, plus they threw in a new battery. Plus they found where the AC was leaking and fixed the AC. What I have now a year later on 10/30/2017 is smooth quiet absolutely no squeaks or rattles or moans from the under carriage at all. I have a small hole in the muffler and the sound is now a nice throaty growl but I am looking at new muffler options. I just turned over 160,000 on my 4x4. The AC will still freeze your nads off, Other additions I have put on this truck over the last 12 years are a new Head unit (some Off brand) needs to be replaced with a HD Tuner from Kenwood, New speakers and thinking of just taking it to Crutchfield and let them pick out speaker replacement. I added front engine skid/guard plate, new Telefon wheels by American Racing, K&N Air Filter and always run Mobil One synthetic oil. Have been towing a New Honda Pioneer 1000 w power steering. It will go where the Toyota will not. bobTacomaHondaPneer1000.jpg

That is NOT right, they can't make you pay for something like that. Any updates on this?

I have a 2009 Tacoma that has frame rust. No holes that I've found, but I can peel off pieces of the frame inside the channel.

I'm curious, my truck is from Canada and now lives in Florida. Does it fall under the same recall? I believe I can get my leaf springs replaced, but I'm also unsure of that since it's from Canada and is now in the US.

if the frame rails are bad it should fail the inspection.

So you don't think there will be any pushback with the truck being from Canada to begin with?

When I had a U.S. Truck in Canada Toyota had to look in the American system to see if truck qualified for frame replacement

When I run the VIN through the Toyota Canada website the only recall that comes up is the leaf springs.

Would the frame recall show up?
