Just got home from work an hour ago and I had a nice surprise waiting for me!
Looks great and is rock solid, I only have one problem now. The rest of my engine is totally jealous!

    Lots baby!
@Digitarus had the same problem. He stacked a few washers under the front connection. He was using a Northstar battery. I was planning on making some spacers for the tall batteries.

Here's another picture, different angle, to show I was able to tighten all the way to the radiator support with just the slightest flex. Pulled the battery side to side pretty hard. Moved my truck a bit, but the battery didn't budge. And yeah, I did wipe the battery just a little bit. Gotta look good for the camera. Haha!!

Received mine today; fast shipping and very well packaged. Just finished installing. I was a little apprehensive if it would fit or fit well since it wasn't the original battery but I am happy to report that it was a perfect fit! It's so nice to order an aftermarket part that not only fits perfectly but also includes all the new hardware that also fit perfectly! It is a very tight fit and I didn't need any washers, etc.; my battery is not moving at all. Looks great and I couldn't be happier with the purchase; highly recommended!

Isn't there some kind of spacer available? I seem to remember somebody talking about this same problem earlier in this thread. I just checked for it and can't find it. I know I read about somewhere.

Cut up a few pieces of cardboard and place it between the top of the battery and bottom of the hold down. :D

What battery do you have? Is it an Optima without the Optima bottom spacer? That is about an inch there.

I believe it's a 34r size battery. I don't believe it came with a spacer, but I have heard of them. My 5lug Tacoma needs a battery, so it may get this one, and my v8 will get a new one.
