Still sippin on this one. A little too bitter for my liking but it’s sitting at 9.5%

On Monday night's we live the high life. Not because it is fantastic but because every bar in pool league has it and I have to work at 6 tomorrow morning.

Ahhhhh..... the Champagne of beers!!!!

 

Celebrating the fact that I have power back, with this. Another Wegmans in Rochester pick up this past weekend. Looked good, so grabbed it to try.

Had a tree fall on my power line last night at midnight, with all the rain and crazy wind we had. Snapped the line righ off at the street pole. Called power company righ away, was on hold for an hour, finally picked up so put in to get it fixed. Right after getting off the phone packed bags for the fam (wife and two little ones), so we could go to the in-laws first thing in the morning to get ready for work and daycare. Went to bed at 2am, woke up at 5:30 and we were off.

Surprisingly the power company came out and fixed the lines first thing this morning. Only crappy part is no internet. Phone line ripped as well, but they can only come out Wednesday to repair. Get crappy service at my house, so 4g is more like no g. Taking forever to upload pic to post.

 

Glad the the tree only hit the lines and you and your fam are ok

Thanks Derek! Definitely could have been much worse, so can't complain.

I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed just about all of the Porters I've had, so it fell right in line. I'd recommend it for sure.

 

See if you can find Smuttynose - Robust Porter. I have not tried it, but it is on the list. Almost had one on tap the other day but went with something else.

 

Cool. Gonna keep an eye out for it then.

 

How tasty is this?

 

It’s good. Lots of mouth feel and smell.

I’d buy it if it came by itself.

Martin would have fit in quite nicely here, I think.

Last of my Oktoberfest beer for the season.

 

Made a trip back to my home state of PA a couple weeks ago and was able to scored one of my seasonal favorites, thought it was fitting to crack one open on Halloween.
