Last day @ work before vacation starts! Time to start packing for Black Mountain Fall Meet! This is the reason why the recent build frenzy took place. Still more to do, but now I'm ready for Harlan! Time to go scrape the paint off the sliders!

More mud inside than out, popped a clip on left front fender flair, and had one hella good time! 3rd Annual Black Mountain Fall TacomaWorld Meet is in the books.

Wish there was more. Most of the time we were there it was raining so hard I didn't want to get the camera out of the truck

Put a condom over it and shoot as much as you want.

I think that’s how they work anyway.

decision time! My all time favorite truck was an '84 SR5 4wd, long bed, regular cab. I had 40"'s on it before it was finished. Also a Warn 8000 lb winch, and a ton of other "80's" style stuff.

Last night we went to get pizza. I found a truck sitting in the lot with a for sale sign on it. 1989 SR5 4wd, regular cab, long bed, with SAS swap (from 84/85 truck) 22RE/manual. Body is mint condition. KO1's, (not a lot of miles left on them) 12.50 X 33 X 15's on steel rims. Not much else done to it. Fire engine red with tan interior. Seller wants $5500. It's too nice to stay on the market long. Called and left a message. With Moab trip next spring, this would stretch the finances pretty damn thin. Would still use '11 (current truck) as my primary on/off road truck. '89 would be turned into a Mall Crawler!

It's OLD....I know what can go wrong with "old"....Besides, it's not that much more capable, if at all, in it's current state. No lockers, not raised much, and that tiny cab. I'd MUCH rather travel in my '11. Remember, I've owned a truck VERY much like this one...I know first hand the down sides as well as the alleged "advantages".

4pm meeting with club president and club attorney. My attorney will be present. Club prez is wanting ammo to fire manager. I have some to share. Mostly that there will be a federal civil rights lawsuit filed on Thursday morning by some of my former employees. How my part in it plays out will depend on the outcome of todays meeting. May be the star witness if manager is still here.

Manager will be fired before Thanksgiving. Per club president. His contract has not been renewed. It won't be. Board and executive committee is comprised of 17 members. Vote currently stands at 15 in favor of firing, 2 on his side. All it takes is a simple majority. Formal vote in 16 days.

We win! I stay until I decide it's time to retire.
