We had our first snow yesterday afternoon
Not a fan of winter!

You have "long" winters there, yeah?

 

Long enough! Usually we’ll have a thaw in Feb. then refreeze but winter is usually Nov.-March/April.

 

That is long.

 

I had a buddy from NC ask me what steps I take to winterize my bike in Florida. I told him that's the best time to ride.

No power at the house for 3 days now. At one point roughly half of the state was out.

 

for a return to the developed world soon.

 

Could be worse. I've got a generator, tons of oil lamps, a hand pump for water, etc. Lots of people have got it worse than I do.

 

We are getting a couple of inches of wet snow. News casters says to go to the hardware store and ask them what we need to stay safe....

Got a bunch of snow in ATL ... it's been falling on and off for the last 8 hours.

 

I would hate to be in atlanta driving during a snowstorm

...^^^... It took me almost 3 hours (1150-1445 hours) to do a normal 15 minute (4 mile) drive from Costco to my house.. it was all secondary roads too.

It was worse later in the day, especially on the Interstates (news said this) ... Downtown, Midtown & Buckhead were worse..

Nobody out tonight though.

Yep, Know I’m not alone when I say that I’m over all the fires. I really feel for those who have lost their homes and/or lives.

 

Sad. Seems like the fires are unstoppable currently.

 

The wind has slowed down a lot today. Yesterday was wild. The firefighters have been great. Can’t wait until we can get some moisture.
