The crossmember in back has been "fixed" before, but not the front one.

Not that good a story to be honest. Was snow wheeling last December and found a water bar while going to fast in several feet of snow.

Won't be able to afford the diamond setup for awhile haha. I'm looking at 4WU's 3 link kit. Have any opinions on it?

Looks solid, but if you are on a budget ruffstuff is the way to go. Maybe you can find a landcruiser front 9.5” for a decent price. I would avoid an 8” if you can.

That’s my working plan at the moment. Need to get my ‘85 yota project sold and see how much money that gives me to play with. I definitely don’t want to go budget on the link kit. I will do one tons eventually, but a LC axle will do for now and save me some money.

Those 9.5's are tons. They are tough, like bounce of the rev limiter and step off the clutch in the rocks tough. At least with decent guts in them, and they are light with decent clearance. I know guys with LS swaps and 40's that run them no problems.

Not a huge fan of the 4WU kit, its good but not great. No cross brace for towers, puts upper link on pumpkin, towers are too short so ride height is tall. For their vehicle specific kits they should also include frame plates. Also price is a bit steep for what you get and still need to source. Welds are clean though.

Anyone up for a snow run to a NFS campground. Then a fire with lunch and trek out? Bring chains, shovel, min?
