There is a lot of unseen damage when the roof is life that.

It’s repairable, for sure. Totaled? You’ll find out. Plan ahead for that to be the case and get your ducks in a row, worst case you won’t need it.

Worth mentioning I also had damage to the hood, fenders, bent windshield and rear window glass, etc.

This - its hard to straighten out the windshield/window frames and have them seal correctly when installing a window. Leaks could be an issue

IMO it's far from totaled. Take it to a reputable shop and get a proper estimate.

Pictures with the tree off of it? Did it bend both doors and crumple the roof to door edge? Looks like pretty extensive damage to the doors in addition to the roof!

Wow! Yeah, it's totaled. Start looking your shopping now and also make sure to do your homework as to what your truck is worth. Sorry to hear about your loss, but glad you are ok. Hope you are able to have a smooth interaction with your insurance and they don't dink you around.

I had USAA and it took them less than a day to get back to me on their offer when they totaled my truck. The other guy in our group that had his truck hit by the tree was treated like crap and his insurance for almost a month kept telling him they were going to fix it and ended up totaling his truck. His cab was where the tree landed on. We had to take a high lift and jack up the roof along with kicking the windshield out for him to see out of to get out of canyon where we were camping.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

That tree was just waiting for a truck to fall on.

I've only worked in a body shop for the past 12 years, but IMO you're looking at a total loss.

I'd go ahead and plan on shopping for something else

I'm checking out prices for a new Taco 4x4 TRD off-road with the double cab, 6' bed, trailer option, and a locking rear diff.

Doesn't exist as far as I know. Rear locker means TRD Off road, and I don't believe they make that in a double cab long bed. I could also be full of shit.
