I thought about it for a little bit, but after two emails and pm's on here with no responses trying to get more details, I gave up and will build my own when the time comes

 

That cage is for a slow rollover like crawling

 

That cage will kill you

 

That cage would crumble without any cross support.

Anyone know a good way to mount the upper shock to a bed cage? I’ve seen some crafty stuff floating around ... something better than just 2 tabs preferably

 

Build like a boxed mount with plate

 

That cage in a wreck will make things worse if not kill you. Save the money to get it done right or slow the fuck down

 

could probably build off of it, just don't use anything from the b pillar forward...

 

Kinda all depends on where the shock needs to be in relation to the cage

 

Ford 9" N style case with Daytona supports, Detroit locker, disc brakes, custom currie axles with Toyota 6 lug. Once I sold my old axle was in about $1k total, but it can't be done

Can some people throw up pics of their 2nd gen bedcage? Just trying to get some ideas.. the bedcage thread is mostly 1st gens and DMZ or giant 2nd gen bed cages..

 

Dmz just makes it too easy to buy everything ready to go

 

Nice man, I was contemplating getting my bed cage powdercoated. Did you rattle can yours? If so, how is it holding up?

 

Rattle can on a windy day. 2 coats of primer and 3 coats paint. Holding up good so far other than being dirty, but it's only been in for a little over a month. Haven't had the bed loaded with gear/ cooler yet, but I will this weekend. It will probably get scratched up, but 5min and a quick touch up every once in a while should keep it looking decent
