Neither did I until I popped the hood on this one at my toyota dealer. Couple hours later I drove it home. Bought it last October with 112K on it.

Wow.. I just looked it up, your right not that you were wrong in the first place but I have never seen or heard of this ever before and I'm very knowledgable on Toyotas. I think you got something pretty rare.

I remember the regular cab with the V6. They were rare back in the day. Real good performance vehicles. My 2002 reg cab came with the decals and I had them removed before I took it home new from the dealer.
    Great find, good for you.

Im not 100% sure, but I do know that with manual hubs it locks the 4WD IN 4WD as soon as you get out and lock the hub. As to with auto hubs, it take a little bit after you put it in 4WD to lock, you even have to drive a little bit in order for them to lock. And its less electric shit.

Haul Ass is a relative term. My "Haul Ass" toy is my 509whp GTO that traps 116mph in the 1/4 at 7,000 feet elevation. So the taco is really slow but fast enough.
