    In all due respect to the managers position, it's a tough job. This asshole makes it tougher than it really is by alienating himself from the very people he depends on for his own success.

    I tried to explain to him on his first day here that I could be his greatest ally or his greatest enemy. His choice. He chose to prove a point that he could succeed or fail just fine on his own. He chose failure.

    In the end, I want to do MY JOB, no one else's, and just be very good at what I do. Finish my days of working here, retire in due time, and stay out of the bullshit petty politics that this place thrives on. 28 years down....Just give my 4-1/2 more years of peace.

    Board meeting was a hoot. Lots of set up questions intended to put asshat on the spot. Lots of answers he couldn't provide without exposing his lies. He knows what's going down.

    Good. He needs to feel the pressure.

    I wouldn't be shocked if he quit.

    2 of the board members high fived me on the way out the door.

    Better days are right around the corner.

    I've worked here full time for 28 years. My history here goes all the way back to doing contract labor (carpenter work) while I was in high school. So more than 40 years. Until 2-3/4 years ago I LOVED working here. Not sure if I can ever get that feeling back. But there's no reason why I have to feel like I hate the place. Just knowing the nightmare is about to end makes everyone feel a lot better.
