It comes with instructions. I did my own rears and had a shop do the fronts since i was going to need alignment anyway. Only charged $155. The directions have pics and the rears are easy.

Just my opinion, you shouldn't use lift blocks because they create leverage for axle wrap. Secondly, kings and lift blocks are counteractive, kings are made to take a beating and blocks aren't.

I certainly wouldn't want to go over the 1" I did. I've not heard of anyone having a problem with a 1" block though, and I've not noticed a single difference yet. I'm not worried about it for this trip, and for the next one it will likely be off. I wanted 1" lift in rear. Got 2" instead. I know....doesn't make sense mathematically, but measurements don't lie. The increased compression of the Kings over stock shocks can be the only explanation I can think of.

But the blocks have largely already done what I intended them to do. See how everything works together before I decided on a rear set up. I'm comfortable now with the look and believe a set of Dakars will get me 1.5 or so in the rear. AAL won't be an option for me.

For anyone considering this, you should get the King rears set up for extended travel. I was told the Kings in OEM configuration were good for about an inch of increased down travel. They're not. At full droop, I had to lift up the axle about 3/4" to get the shock mount to line up with the lower shock eye.

I think another point he is making, is not hearing about someone who has Kings, running a block in the rear.

After a few hundred miles I checked my measurements and had just a little settling. I adjusted my Kings to get the back to alignment height at 2.5 lift. From what I've read I thought it was going to be hard on the vehicle but was really easy with King tool.

I'm in love with my setup. The difference from stock is incredible. Can't really see much of the kings, but they're there. :DIMG_2570.jpg

Just installed my King 2.5 ext travel #600lb springs. In case anyone was wondering what it looks like as far as ride height out of the box without adjusting anything. You can barley see a difference.

Amen to that. That through bolt was just a nightmare. The passenger through bolt was actually a lot easier for me than the driver side.

Yeah man, my 2nd gen wasn't bad at all, but the 3rd gen was ridiculous. I thought I was screwed a few times when the bolt stopped moving and I couldnt get it to go back either.

Very true, I read the opposite before I did it myself. The driver side has that wiring bundle under the battery tray which makes it hard to get out, then if you try to put the bolt in backwards it gets hung on those plastic black tubes towards the cab so I ended up having to feed the bolt back in the same way it came out. It involved a dead blow hammer and long screwdriver to tap it back through lol
