Seriously. I've never had a good windshield replacement experience. I current have a leak and this has been a headache for months for me. If it's sealed, enjoy it.

 

I have had 1 good one, and 1 meh one. The one in my tC was good, the ome in my silver truck is fine other than the wind noise at highway speeds

 

My old Accord the tape was too sticky and removed the fresh paint on my pillars.

My STi they cut the wire for my dimming mirror and put a few marks in the pillars

My 2016 they scratched a fender and scratched a pillar and used non-OEM glass when they replaced it. I had significant water intrusion. I had it replaced with OEM glass which didn't seal correctly and had a mark on the interior pillar. They re-sealed it again and I still had a leak. They finally got it sealed and I just noticed another leak after a few hours of investigation. I'm waiting to hear back on that one now.

I give up on windshields. I really do.

 

I dont blame you there. We only go through JN Phillips at my house. And we make sure its OE glass. My dad was a toyota tech and use to have to replace ECUs in T4Rs back in the day when the windshield was replaced with aftermarket, then it would leak down into the kick panel and short the ECU

 

Need your thoughts..
I don't have access to a press at the moment and can only work on the truck after work hours and can't leave it dead on a lift overnight.

My problem is the driverside front wheel bearing - it's got decent play in it and is humming like a mofo. I'm heading down to Trenton NJ Friday to pick up something so I need the truck for the long haul. The pre-built hub assembly I ordered on here is apparently built to order so it won't be here until it's too late.

I do however have the old hub assembly that came with the truck and was removed at 134k from the passengerside when I swapped the suspension (did both hubs since it was all apart already). This hub wasn't humming and had no play.

My question is would it be a problem using a hub that was always on the passengerside for 134k on the driverside for a few hundred miles?

 

I dont see it being a major issue, but i would definitely change it out once your new one comes in.

 

Yea I'm just cautious because its switching from being used on the passengerside to the driverside... I guess in reality I have no choice either way haha

 

Well how bad is the drivers side bearing?

 

I agree with @tacobell007. I don’t see it being a problem. Kinda sucks though having to swap it twice.
