where do you guys get your haircut? if you don't go anywhere, need not reply.

Recommendations please! I need to get a haircut. I am wanting to grow it out some though, and so I just want it cleaned up. I have NO IDEA what I want/need it to look like in preparation for growing it longer (this is one of those downfalls of being a single male). I also would like a beard trim/cleanup but I'm growing it out too.

That being said, haircut prices are outrageous. Before you roast me for "it's a trade, their time is valuable, etc. etc.", I agree. Though I don't want much cut. I don't want anything fancy or complicated. Heck, I can buzz my hair in my backyard for free in 5 minutes and Rooster's wants to charge 22$??? I'm an engineer and I don't make that kind of money!

So help me out, good male haircut/cleanup/beard trim, that will advise you on what look to go with, but affordable. Thanks.

I would find a person, not necessarily a place, this will also benefit you in the future when you go and get another, you can say "yeah do it just like last time" or "can you leave it a little longer etc" I get my hair cut like 2 twice a year; I was going to a place in Decatur and my wife's cousin's wife (you follow?) has been cutting it but she has since moved out on her own and cuts out of their house. I know this is vague stuff but find someone that knows what they are doing, or that someone you know that has similar hair and see who they use, not where they go.

 

this is the kinda stuff where a girlfriend comes into play greatly.
