May have lost my starter. It gave a click when I tried to start it. Rekeyed and it started. Went to move my truck now and all I get is 1 solid click every time I try to start it.

Hmm, rocking the truck got it to start, almost like it just wasn’t aligned.

My radio will only come on intermittently, some times it goes on then off then on etc. Today it wouldn't come on. I beat on it and the buttons lit up and played the local NPR station with nothing showing on the LCD. Couldn't change the channel, adjust the volume, or power off lol

I've got a few rattles to track down. Have a louder sound than before coming from my passenger front now too. Might just be a bent dust shield redirecting tire hum. It's in the floor area

I would be down to donate on a timed hill climb. T41 at AOP would be perfect for that. Since I've never been into crawling. Hince why I'm building a buggy to join the SRRS

Yup, that's what they do when they go, that arm gets stuck. You can also hit it with a hammer to unstuck it. Usually works

Think I have a ball joint going bad. I'll have a similar, but much less offensive sound like Everett had

Back in my misguided youth, I spent my weekends running enduro's on dirt bikes. We followed a route on a timed schedule, with limited directions. It was something like; 7.2 miles, left turn, 4.0 miles go right, 2.2 miles right, etc.... Thinking along those lines, throwing in trail numbers for good measure. We had a speed average we had to maintain. Too fast got you penalty points just like too slow. Speed average would be based on a moderate pace and very little down time. Maybe even a "bonus points" section where there is more technical trails or obstacles. I'm thinking about going to Harlan a few weeks earlier to lay out the course, establish time, then finalizing a set of rules. Thinking a 5 truck team that would have to work together as a single entry. Not a race per say, but some sense of competition. This would not be an all day event, leaving plenty time for just wandering around the woods like most of us seem to like to do.

I'm working on a yet to be named outdoor clothing/gear brand as a sponsor/contributor for this event. I got a positive feedback from them this year, but got started developing a plan far too late to include them. They even spoke of a video/photo crew for eventual use in their ads. EVERYONE likes to get their picture taken! And the possibility of seeing yourself included in a magazine ad or something similar is very cool!

Also interested in the SOS hill climb event Eddy spoke of. There is an area at Black Mountain where the buggies compete a couple times a year...Thinking it is a SRRS event. So obviously a decent challenge for them.

If anyone has an interest in sponsoring an event, or simply taking the lead in running such an event, please step up and join in on the fun! This doesn't need to be a pro level event, just keep it fun and try to include as many people as possible. I'd be MORE that happy to involve people from different regional "groups" to plan events.

Also...Next year I'm reaching out to a couple friends that are into T4R's and Land Cruisers. Goal is to get as many Toyota folks as possible involved. We MAY even include the occasional Nissan Titan!:rolleyes:

Now a super fancy stock truck!
Not a huge rock crawler myself and it takes lots of money and time to build a truck for that. But a fun competition with small prizes at the end would be a fairy cool idea!

It was a red 3rd Gen. TN tags IIRC. Was in front of me a good bit of Saturday's ride.

Sorry I didn't catch your name man...
