    Never mix radial and bias.
    Mute point now.
The problem is the bead needs to be really locked with a tube.

I think I have drilled about a dozen rims for bead screws.
I made a template for it.

Not sure of your rim construction.
If you don't have bead lockers I'd say find a tire you don't need a tube.
You spin a tube your flat instantly.
There is a reason they say run a tube. The sidewall construction is different for tube and tubeless tires.
There is always someone what will not do what a manufacturer suggests.
They make leak through the sidewall easier without a tube.
    This is my personal opinion..

GET A SECOND SET OF RIMS.
A good street tire for the rims you have with some real tread and swap the rim/tire combo at the strip.
you always worry about rain going to or back from a car show.

Get a set of real drag slicks.

Weather street cheaters or full race wrinkle walls, you run low pressure she will want to walk her butt when you lift.

You want to plant that bitch then make the jump.

    In a nutshell.

If it says tube,I would always use one.
However, tubing a tire is a lost art.
I'm covered with baby powder when I do the 2000 GT tires.

I'll go sit in the corner now..

    Thanks Mike !!!!

I'm running Weld Drag Lites but the front wheels are non DOT approved . I do however like the wheels champion billet offers especially their bead locks

    https://www.championbillet.com

Been doing some research and a lot of people are running no tubes in these tires and not having any problems . they do however coat the inside of the tire with dish soap to seal any pin holes or pourus sections of the tire . this seals the tire so you can run tubeless but still having to air up the tires every few days

Yes I know about tubes and using a lot of baby powder

    The girl likes ponycars.
    We had a 79 Z28 with T tops back in..................... 91 I think.
    I traded it for a CJ5 with a 304.
She's still mad at me for that.

Not up here really no. We do have red mud and black jack but alot of gravel back roadsrolling hills, and our version of mountains, not like the ones out west. The Blue Ridge and Apalachians are a beautiful place

Other than while I was in the Millitary I've lived in this area since 1974. I've always loved it and used to love the winters as they were just about right with regards to snowfall and duration. However, the older I get the more I find I have a desire to move a little further South and closer to the ocean. It'll probably never happen but I'm waiting to see where my girls end up living.

Ive been there, I agree. But they are nice mountains just the same.
A little trivia, Humphries peak, which is the tallest peak of the San Francisco peaks, is 12,633 feet. The San Francisco Peaks are the remnants of the San Francisco mountain. It is a Volcano. Before it blew its top it is estimated that it was over 16,000 feet in elevation, and some have made the claim it was over 21000 feet.
And it was named after the Friars, not the city out there.
