What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That's a pretty solid shade of dookie brown. Id take a piece if the lower door cloth to match.

 

I took the square piece out of the drivers side arm rest, atleast it’s there in my 99 AC.

Are you saying cloth would be better cause it isn’t shiny or something?

 

Had this problem at Home Depot a lot, color matching is tough when the sample has a faded spot or a weird texture. The vinyl at the base of the door is hidden from sun a pretty flat.

 

That’s why I took the piece in... in the store it looked like a perfect match ha...

I guess I’ll just have to give that a try. Might just go back to Black, I guess the saying is true. It just shows sooo much dust....

 

The machine matches by photosensor in its own little lightbox, but yeah if you're matching by eye in a store it can be a shitshow.

Hows the paint been holding on? Did you use clear coat on top?

Just a suggestion, but I think maybe "what is next' should be borrow my truck for a couple of weeks.

 

I did it about 5 years ago and then recoated em about 3 months ago. It started to get amber. I did not not clear coat them either time.

I want to but I'm not certain its going to really benefit me. Not planning on jumping any time soon but if I want to follow the rzrs probably wouldn't hurt.

 

If you want to keep up with rzrs you need a different diff and axle period.
