Use Three points of contact. Step or pivot, don't twist.

People who “slide” out of my passenger seat and drag their ass over the bolster infuriate me. You can see the bolster rise back to its original position after someone does this which is undoubtedly wearing the bolster foam.

In regards to your question, I turn body slightly to the left, left foot on the step, then the right foot, and then I hop down.

I only use the steering wheel to aid my body in turning, never to grip to hold my body weight while I get out. This will wear the steering wheel cover.

The seat material is awful and wears easily so I am taking every precaution to not wear it prematurely.

It's cause all tacoma owners have huge nuts. Some misuse and abuse them while others caress and take care of them. Simple science, we should make a poll

Good grief, a whole thread on entry/exit technique! I am an old geezer with the flexibility of a rock, and I've never given it a moment's thought......until now. My truck has predator bars with a step, but I don't always use it although sometimes I do. I guess it depends on what I am wearing, big clunky boots or flip-flops, if I'm carrying anything (coffee, backpack, phone in hand, other items), or just plain whimsy. Somehow I just end up in, or out, as the case may be! But now I'm going to be thinking about it, ya bastards!

Lot of surprise in this thread.. but mostly disappointment.

Anybody who gets “infuriated” by things like people sitting in their seat and crushing foam designed to be crushed, or buying a car missing a feature that they have to have.. please go to therapy.

Could you make a demonstration video of this technique, and post it here?
Anyone else should do the same.

OP says he has sensitive balls, if you're dangling a leg/s, this technique may not work for him.
