Smoothest ride. What to buy?!

So its time for me to change my shocks. Ive done some searching but cant find a decent answer.

What shocks should I get for the smoothest ride possible for on road use. Im on the road all the time, so off roading is not taken into consideration.

Also, should I change my coils as well??? I have a PreRunner 06. Just hit 65k Miles. 30K of them in the last year.

Didnt place a poll since I cant possibly list all the shocks available.

Also, any tips for the smoothest ride are appreciated, such as tire pressure and such.

probably want to go with a coil over kit, the ultimate kit from toytechlifts.com is great for smoothness. my OME setup is smooth but i've never ridden in another taco so i don't know how it compares. just don't get a spacer lift whatever you do

 

The ultimate kit and the coil-over kit from Toytec, they both raise the truck. Its not that im against that. Hell, id never be against that! But I need to keep my truck at exactly the height it is for work purposes. Like it could only be about 1" or 2" higher... and thats pushing it.

 

Bilstein 5100's @ stock setting.

 

Really anything aftermarket set at 0 lift will ride great.

Thats exactly it...when the money comes ha. I'd love to LT my truck but its EXPENSIVE! Would be a smooth ride though thats my vote for smoothest riding set up

Can I get a couple more suggestions please? I need to get this done pretty soon. Hopefully within days.

Also, as stated originally. Any tips for the softest, smoothest ride? I hate feeling every single bump.

Anything will work. Fox, Kings, Icon, 5100's, SAW. You just have to make sure they are NOT set for any lift. If you do that it will be like riding on air.

 

i got 5100s set at 0" and got OME 883 lifting springs which raised the front about 1 1/2"....rides as smooth as stock since the springs aren't compressed by a spacer or a higher setting on the 5100s

 

for a cost effective route I would go with 5100's at stock setting. maybe some OME 883 coils.

if you have some money to blow I would get a set of coilovers and just not life them any. the fox's I have, have an 8 way adjustable knob that allows you to change how smooth or rough it rides.
