    Trans is sealed on my SR5 and dealer told me that Toyota does not recommend changing fluid at all. I am skeptical and wonder if this maintenance should be done. I have no problem with transmission at all.

    First, the thread title is misleading. Sounds like you are changing the transmission at 100,000. Should say transmission *service* at 100,000.

    If you plan to keep the truck a long time, do the service. If you plan to sell it soon and want top dollar, do the service. If you care about your wallet only, skip the service.

    I got mine flushed at 93k. I have a 2010.

    Edit: I have had no problems after the flush and now I have 104k on the truck

    I was wondering about this as well. Really 100k on the trans and not even required to flush?

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    4 or 6 cyl?

    How many miles on it now?

    I do a drain fill every 30k on all my vehicles.

    Yes, it's only a 'partial', but at that interval it doesn't matter. It keeps the additive package refreshed and the trans healthy.

    @gearcruncher approved too. :thumbsup:

    I added a cooler and ordered 4 gallons of max life to swap in.

    Think I should do the fluid swap and then fill the new cooler and hook up the lines ?2BEB81D2-54C8-4C77-9E0A-7504323D2813.jpg

    I did a full flush with a pan drop at ~120k.. Was very happy I did, and I bet you will too when you see what comes out, and what your magnets look like.

    EDIT: actually my trans service concern was my first post on tacomaworld and @gearcruncher led me in the right direction

    Yes, I do think that would be a good idea. I am also considering a transmission cooler myself. For no other reason tha avoiding the strawberry milkshake issue that happens on occasion.

    Are you taking out the original transmission cooler?
