Duane eating greens comes naturally to us Southern boys.

Now is the time to grow turnips. Heck, I even love spinach, especially with sliced hard boiled eggs in it.

I grew quite a few turnips this year, ate some tops. Only ate a quarter of the row, they did great this year. Trying to eat more greens or a friend even said broccoli is good.
Grandparents on dad's side were from Arkansas, but we ate what mom (Minnesota) fixed.

I thought you would, but I'll manage to get them done! I already have around 200 prepared and primed, and about another 150 that are ready to prime, prepping the cases is the part that takes time, once that's done the rest is gravy!
:annoyed:Sticks down all over the yard again after the rain, and the bear knocked the drop pipe over in the pond for the second time this year! :annoyed::annoyed:

Heard a bear killed three goat's in my area within a mile of me, two different people.
On the radio news, confirmed wolf kill on a heifer, unconfirmed of two back in September, same rancher hit. County to the NE of where I live. Local neighbor I talked with the other day after he came home from deer hunting, said a group has been transplanting wolves. Not a good thing, he said heifers were worth $1500.

Carl, bears are getting to be a nuisance here but are highly protected by state law.

Duane, appears wolves are becoming more than a nuisance in your area. At $1500 a pop for heifers, my tolerance for Wolves would be severely tested.

Agree the case prep is time consuming, but they sure look good after a pass through the tumbler.

My favorite part is the bullet seating 'cause the shooting is the next step.

    Morning all:
Looked outside and there were a bunch of hen turkeys and 2 doe mulling around, all within range and both seasons are open now!
Just stood there and watched them, now if one of the bear would have been standing there I think I would have had a different response! :D

Coyotes are bad, wolves are really bad, wonder when they are going to start showing up in PA! :(

We have a bear season Gary, right now archery bear is open and later a gun season that they even extended the time you can hunt them. Don't know what's going on, but there are more bear around than ever and they are definitely becoming an increasing nuisance, they love ripping bird feeders and garbage cans apart and they also find the drop pipe in my pond to be of interest! :(

AND, this guy just walked through the yard at 9:30 and went in the woods right where I have the tree stand. Might be barely legal with 3pts. on one side, but hope he makes it till next year, doubt it though if someone gets it in the crosshairs!

    Here it's a 3" spike.
    I'd take that all day....

For years the 3" spike rule was what we had in PA, now that we went to deer management it's 3 on one side with no point being less than 1".
Under the old rules I wouldn't have hesitated to shoot a buck like that and been happy that I got a buck.

:annoyed: 2:45 today, and within range! These are my buddies though, they're safe! :)
The little one would be nice and tender though, heck maybe even a twofer!

Camping last night, Repo found everything in the area that was edible. First, thought I had confiscated a piece of hide and threw it on a bent tree, end of trouble,, he found a hoof, I buried it while we went on a hour walk, he found a bigger hide, threw that on a tall, ragged stump, he found another bone. He got to sleep outside last night. Kept carousing a bit last night, then settled down. Wanted my breakfast and a share of my dinner.

Well I won’t claim to be the oldest member but at 68 I have to be in rare company. Bought my first Tacoma (TRD off-road) last month after a bunch of F150’s. My wife and I go overlanding and are just getting back to tent camping after many years. Just sayin hi.

    Evening all:
Welcome to the thread Track, pull up a chair on the porch but fill the cooler first!
I think you will be very happy with The Tacoma, not a full size truck but pretty darn dependable overall.

Welcome Track. Most of us came from full size trucks to a Tacoma. I have never looked back.

Your profile did not indicate where you call home. Doesn't matter, we all just grow where we are planted.

As far as home is concerned I’ve been planted and uprooted a few times but for now and into the here after it’s Central Florida. Nice “little” town called Palm Coast.

And yea, I’m lovin’ this Tacoma. Went to Expo East last month. Good thing I left my checkbook home!

Welcome Track. Moved up from a mini truck to the Tacoma. Only had a couple full sized trucks in my life.
