    @greg8765 & @SWPRO

Unfortunately I do not have a link to the ones I bought, as I bought them back on 2016 (and they are no longer available on Amazon) when I had my 1st gen, just never got around to doing the work of installing them before trading it in. I have the red version and I have been considering replacing them with blue. My 04 taco I had a red theme going with aftermarked HU, LED guage lights, glove box, etc. The red sort of clashes with the blue scheme in the 2017.

These are VERY simular both in price and design.

 This weekend weather is supposed to be fairly nice, it may be a good time to pull the red out and replace with blue. I still want to light the glovebox and center consol. We'll see what the wife has planned for me.

Top and bottom???? It's just the red radio knob, right and left. I have size 14 and they fit loosely enough to fall off on their own.

Was referring to your temperature control knobs. Or is that just stock on 3rd gen?

Thank you. Got more to do. All gun metal trim has got to go. Metal = plastic :puke:and those silly chrome rings in the ac vents are next also.

The "Chrome" on the consol bothers me as much or more than the vents.

Please post how you effect a change. I want to dull them somehow, but I would prefer not to have to pull all the vents and center consol all out, then disassemble, paint and reassemble. Just seems like a LOT of work for small trim.

I may try to get a touch-up paint pen or something simular to change them to either match the rest of the consol or the truck. I know SSM is close to the chrome finish but it is NOT as reflective. I really dread the reflected light hitting the corner of your eyes when the sun is that just right (o_Oor maybe wrong) possition.

I have actually considered it for a short term test fix.

It after all very EASY to remove Sharpie brand "permanent markers" with rubbing alcohol.:D Then I could put a really permanent solution in place.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

It really isn't thst hard to remove these panels. The only one that will prove harder than the others is the center console drink holder area. Eveything else is just pull and remove a few screws to get the trim off of the panel itself. The chrome rings have to be cut from the back. Look like little white melted plastic nubs that secure it in place.

Honestly, the best mod I have done for my truck would be trying to be financially responsible and making large payments towards paying it's loan off. I'm nearly there.

I've been incredibly happy with the results of all the inexpensive mods I've done, they all had great bang for the buck.

    Hondo garage knobs
    LED interior bulb swap
Dynamat all four doors to cut down NVH
OEM front cargo rail for the truck bed + tie down cleats
Added two OEM cargo tie downs to front two bed bolts (same tie downs that came on rear bed bolts)
    All weather floor mats
Salex cubby divider + tray on top

Some inexpensive aesthetic mods that make me smile about how my truck is (relatively) unique:
    - Tailgate inlay decals
    - inlay glove box decals
    - New bedside stickers
    - plasti-dip grill and badges

    Some inexpensive "functional" mods:
    - Hondo garage knobs
    - hondo garage clips to run power cord to phone holder (also hondo garage, but any vent attached phone holder is good)
    - bed lights (see 3rd gen marketplace)
    - console divider and tray

I have the Steelie phone mount and I love it. It's simple and quite easy to use.

Like I said, the only ones who didn't like it where men, the ladies think it's cool. It is fun to go to the full service car wash, and watch the reaction of the young ladies as they go to clean the interior. All of them jump back for a couple of seconds, then they get a great big grin, and then they call their girl friends over and the whole process is repeated. One will always come up and say some kind of complement.
