Spicy rubs have an odd number in the penultimate spot (last number before the check digit).
Regular rubs have an even number there.

Humbled a bit today. Discovered a gap in our process that resulted in a customer let down. A member on this site, as well, which bums me even more. He is more than welcome to post it up. I won't hide from my mistakes. Even if it was an honest one, it shouldn't happen. Hopefully I have resolved it in a satisfactory way.

Have to continue to get better!

What is this mistake you speak of? I think you’ve more than earned enough product points here to fck up every now and then.

It was a pretty simple mistake on our end that caused a big disappointment on the customer's end. There were some orders that were fulfilled in batches stemming from the little craft fair thing I did. An online order was marked fulfilled even though it wasn't. A different record that I use for tracking orders identified the discrepancy, but not until later. I reached out to the member and I was disappointed to learn that the two-week old order was, indeed, left unfulfilled. Ugh.

I hope I have some equity built up, but it still isn't something that I would try to brush under the rug regardless. Full disclosure pays off in the long run, as far as I'm concerned.

No shit. It’s all good. Only caveat is if you start selling on Amazon... their shit is wired tight. Doesn’t matter why, only matters if. You’ll get dinged into oblivion by their algorithms if you don’t have it down clean.

They hold all of the power in that relationship. I understand why, given the access to customers that they provide, but there are some strings attached. Getting in to Walmart is another tough venture. Huge opportunity, but be ready for thin margins, hardball negotiating, and playing by their rules.

<sarcasm>OH NO. You made a mistake. We can all no longer deal with you. You are now dead to us.</sarcasm>

Seriously though it's nice when a mistake is made that you owned up to it and took responsibility and are making it right. In too many situations today it just gets blamed on someone else and the only one who suffers is the customer.

Bonus points for making it right.

Thanks, all. To be clear, I didn't intend to come across as sulking or being overly hard on myself. This thread has kind of turned in to an ongoing progress report for what we're trying to accomplish. Lots of great feedback and suggestions have come from everyone here. It was more of an update and a recognition that we're still working at this thing.

Our latest delay? There is one typo in the ingredients listing. It says "dehydrates" instead of "dehydrated" for the garlic and onion. Working on getting new hi-res files so I can send them off.

Good on ya. IMO, misspelled words are a huge red flag in any product or service advertising or information. It makes me doubt the ability of everything else the company does if they can't even spell check their shit. Just my 2 cents.
