Would next Friday work for you? I could also come day and hangout too that day, other than truck work.

alignment got rid of 95% of the rubbing. I may need to do a little trimming but I'm gonna ride with it like this for a bit.

    Left Front Right Front

    camber - .4 .2
    caster - 2.2 1.7
    toe - .16 .01

Hahaha you never know what you are going to pull up in all those little canals and waterways. I am all the time getting snagged and pulling crap out of the sound up in Sneads Ferry. Good way to help clean up the place though! What is that one rated for?

Not a problem you going to pull the trigger? Like I said it needs a little TLC and some replacements from things that are over 50 yrs old.

Since he isn't computer savvy it would be hard to wire him the $$ and have someone store it for ya then you could take your time. I don't know how long it will take to sell since he isn't reposting it to bring it to the top of the list.

He seemed like that kind of guy a handshake is his word. Which is nice this day and age compared to everyone else. I held my old F350 for a guy for a couple of weeks because I go by the same mantra. He came and paid and the deal was done. I wouldn't hesitate to ask if he'd be willing to hold it. Oh not sure if I mentioned that is has a slight oil leak from what appears to be the oil pan gasket. I'd still drive the shit out of it even with that oil leak. Typical cork gasket leaks. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it still though. Most of what I saw and told you about is what I would expect from that era vehicle well less than what I would expect I was expecting a lot more things to be wrong. I would find an old ford FE motor to shove in it and have a hell of a sleeper! It does have a torque tube vs a driveshaft so if you swap trans or anything like that you'll have to convert to a different rear end and get a driveshaft made. There is a good shop in Raleigh that does that. I have never bagged or slammed a torque tube car without switching the trans and rear out so I don't know if it is possible with a torque tube. But it is a sprung rear susp. which will make life easier bagging it since you can just modify the stock spring perches for bags possibly. I would call this the golden barn find!

For those in and around the Garner area. Garner Auto Specialists recently (6 mos or so) installed a brand spanking new Hunter alignment system. This thing is awesome. It's a local shop and they are fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend giving them some business if you get the chance. I arrived today to ask if they could do the alignment and they drove it right into the bay and got started on it. Nice folks. It's off of hwy 50/Benson Hwy at the intersection of Timber Dr. (think food lion parking lot)

I loved all the hunter equipment I ever used! The newer equipment adds speed and accuracy. I miss the days of banging out a bunch of alignments at 1hr flat rate a piece and I could do over 30 in a day some good easy gravy $$$$ right there! I bet the latest and greatest is even faster to set up now. But I learned how to align cars on an old hunter string alignment machine. Then on the race cars we used a similar method but on sliding scales so we could corner balance as well. Those were not so fun and very very slow and tedious. It would take me as long to set up the string machine as I could get 1 1/2 alignments done with the newer equip.

Yep, I'm deployed so it'll be awhile. It didn't have to be local, I was planning on ordering it online. My neighbors are good friends so they are going to help with replacing the battery, their son works at an auto shop so they should be good to go as far as checking for further damage. She really only wanted the truck available in case she for some reason can't use her RAV4 or if the weather gets bad enough this winter.
