To get in, I do a right foot on the door sill /right hand grab the wheel (only to index my body for entry) and launch myself off said right foot putting myself in a gentle but firm counter clockwise rotation INTO the cab, and utilizing muscle memory, snap my body into a counter rotation placing me into my seat with little contact against shit I don’t wanna touch. Getting OUT is still a mystery. There was a day where one could witness me in my driveway as I got in and out of a third gen and a first gen, over and over, trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. How come I can get out of one smooth, and the other... it’s like my body rejects the motion.

I would ask for video, but sounds like you've reached Ninja level, so probably couldn't see anything solid anyway. Also explains your loss of understanding to the exit. It happens, I know from experience. Second nature, multi dimension function.

I was thinking that it could be "all in the wrist", then I realized that It's likely "all in the hip", in this scenario..!!
The addition of Bars/Sliders/Boards makes all the difference.....! (You gotta move more left)..
Wearing "flexible" underwear might be the problem for those with huge balls, as there could be a lot of stress on them when twisting to the left by 90 degrees...AND then sliding them out over the seat's "bolster"... I think that's what wearing out those seats so fast...!

I was very self conscious in that moment of what my neighbors might think of me. I gave up, honestly. Every time I get out it feels awkward, like a fish that jumped out of the fish tank...so I just mask the action. If I’m in a crowded place where people are watching me as I exit the truck, I just pretend I’m being attacked by a wasp/hornet. Practice karate moves I saw on tv. Pretend I’m about to sneeze. Point at someone else. Wearing a funny hat will sometimes distract peoples attention from your botched landing, as will pouring out your entire change cup.

I have a 3" lift on 33's and I'm 5' 10" I just slide out over the sliders and put my feet on the ground. I don't use the sliders as a step getting in or out

Try using fire crackers with a quality longer fuse. Practice the timing. Eventually you can throw them out the window before you park, it will distract peoples attention. Or just use a smoke bomb, I keep a dozen or so in my console. It's part of my Taco EDC.

Fire crackers! Didn’t even think of that. The hive mind of us Tacoma people is IMPRESSIVE.

I also suggest screaming “SOMEONE CALL THE FUCKING COPS” as you get out. Confusion is your friend in this predicament.

The damn steering wheel is in the way!! I'm only 6' and I have to work my knees out from under it to get out.

I jump out and slide over the sliders. And when going in, I grab the oh shit handle and jump up. Trucks too tall.

I’m shorter than you, got the seat pretty far back. I’m not saying youre wrong, but I don’t understand how that could be what causes the botched exit.

I usually have my seat pushed all the way back and the steering wheel all the way up. I guess it depends on where the steering wheel is in relation to your knees when you twist around to get out.

Are you suggesting that Taco Owners have big balls and that Toyota's Engineers do not..?? I'd agree with you...!!

So, we have to get the Japanese Engineers to grow some balls...?? That might work..?? hehe

    But what do you hold?
What do you hold to articulate your body to shift weight from sitting to your left leg?
That's why I made my post, nothing to hold or grip to.
What I have been doing is holding the frame of the cab.
If I hold the door, it comes closer to me trying to close.
The steering wheel turns, and isn't helpful, it's more in the way.
Our third gen's don't allow us to adjust our seats much, except slide back and forth and they sit very low and we don't have a grip to hold on our A-pillar.
