BBK or just better pads and rotors?

If not BBK, try EBC stage 5............... braided brake lines, and an abs switch. Much better stopping.

After fading hawks, brembos, and oem, i have NOT faded EBC yet

Problem isn't food, its not enough oxygen to my brain. Infusions later this week and next week should help.

I haven't been in the 'normal' range since at least 2014. The last round of infusions got me to 12.3 hemoglobin while normal is 13.5-17.5 at sea level and where I live I should be +3 (so 16.5 is my target). I'd like to think I'm getting pretty good a functioning below my normal capacity.

My oncologist claims organ shutdown and being dead are real risks so I've had 3 emergency blood transfusions in the past 18 months and a dozen or more iron infusions. I didn't ask him if he's stayed at a Holiday Inn recently so I'm not sure he really knows what he's doing but he has managed to keep me alive which is a good indicator that he is doing something right.

I just use my bumper as a brake, works well enough but doesn't last that long

EBC yellows. ONE HELL OF A PAD. Night and day difference over OE ceramics and you will feel it the moment you first try them out. That being said, however, you will get 20,000 miles if that of life out of them. If you don't mind pulling the wheels every 20K to do a pad swap, go for it. I preferred longevity over performance and dust so I switched back to OR ceramic style. I hate the way the truck brakes now, but that is the tradeoff.

The OE size braking is plenty for stopping power. This comes from a guy with a 5000lb+ armored Tacoma. If you want great performance out of them just change out the pad and save your money on other mods or other finances. You'll thank me later. If you must step it up a notch because your money is burning a hole in your pocket, steel braided brake lines, but that was an option not even I really cared for once I swapped to the yellows. They were that good.

Small footnote: better stopping power relies on your tires ability to stick to the road. Everyone here uses passenger or LT Light Truck tires which are not well known for their gripping power in comparison to that of a performance tire on a high horsepower or track car. There is only so much and so far you can take brake upgrades on this truck before you are wasting your money and time chasing after something you will never obtain unless you start getting high traction high grip performance tires.

This is what I've been running, significantly better than OE in my opinion.

EBC Green Stuff and Rotors (insert part # here)

I've run EBC green for many vehicles and it is a solid reliable performance pad.

I went with brembo blanks and hawk LTS pads along with stainless steel brake lines and like the results
