Hi I'm wondering if anyone with this exhaust knows the specs of the muffler size and the diameter of the tubing. It's stainless steal if I'm not mistaken. I've done research on this and haven't found anything and if there is information about it that I've missed a link would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pretty sure its 2.5 stainless steel mandrel bent.

Basically same size as stock, same mandrel bends... ur overpaying for a muffler thats on a shelf somewhere, and the name...

Unless you NEED stainless, then that may be a factor for you.

It is 2.5" tube, "stainless" not very high quality stainless I did some mig work on mine and got better welds using mild wire than my 304 stainless wire. I bought mine used, I like it, it sounds okay, good with headers, doesn't drone but no real improvent over stock. I would not pay retail for one, I picked mine up from craigslist once installed but not really used for $75 I think?

The brand name on the muffler is "Bosal".

A reasonable amount smaller and a bit more of a direct path but yes essentially.

No back pressure you'd loose low end torque with 3" out. With how strict emissions are these days most vehicles come "perfectly tuned" from factory. After market mods these days are mostly just reinventing the wheel, or for personal taste like sound or apperance.

So would adding a Magnaflow muffler to the stock exhaust be a better option than getting the TRD one just for sound? I know their isn't really gains unless other components are added.
