Some of the hill towns are going that route. WG&E is actually building it out for Windsor, I believe. Other towns took offers from Charter to build out coax because they couldn't justify the cost for fiber to the home on the already high tax rates. I actually agree with them.

I get 70 mbps out of my cable and I'm in a pretty rural area. I actually wish I could get 20-30 instead and save a few bucks because it's much more than I need. Southern VT can get 200+ out of Comcast cable. Larger cities can do 300+. Those are insane speeds for a home. I have 2000 users in 6 buildings on 500 mbps fiber at work and it's more than enough.

Morning all! Power came back on last night, so I promptly took pictures of my electric lights and texted/snapchatted them to my coworkers who were still in the dark.

I never ever see droppings anywhere and they have not once gotten into my food. They seem to only live in the floors and the walls and I can hear them unless I'm killing daily. But I am no professional exterminator, I just fight them daily this time of year. Only 3 dead last night, I may have gotten ahead of the little fuckers this year.

Hahaha, in the ice storm we had about 10 years ago, that really bad one, I only lost power for like 24 hours while everyone else on my road lost it for multiple weeks. I had my whole house decorated with Christmas lights and it was lit up like Rockefeller Station! I thought I was going to get vandalized but I left them on.

With all the work I have been doing with my truck over the last year the axle nut is constantly on/off. It comes off easy up until the last thread which got a little damaged when the axle dropped while I was handling it a few months ago. Nothing crazy though. Didn't even remove the axle just tapped it in a bit to loosen it from the hub assembly and the force of it pushing out and a little hammer-time and the hub fell right out.

I went to autozone when I first bought the truck to buy 2 sockets - one for the axle nut and one for the lugnuts - both of which stay in the truck at all times.

I put six traps up last night. Have to see if I got any when I get home. Screwed two traps each to long 1x4s so I could get them in various sections of the attic since I can't really climb up there.

I thought I heard one go off at one point shortly after, but I'm not sure.

I just got it the other day. I wouldn’t sell it. New it goes for $8500. Granted I’ve used it at work for the past 12 years. Just trying to down size the garage .

That happens to me often. I'll set 'em up and will hear a snap as I am walking back up the stairs! So satisfying.

Interestingly enough, I didn't hear any scurrying last night either. I wonder if it's only a couple of them and I got them.

Regardless, I'll keep traps up there and check them regularly in the winter to catch any new ones.

Irene was bad too. They just reopened one road up my way this year that was destroyed from that one.

    I like hammers...

And who the hell wants to spend 6 hours repairing petty damage on fiberglass on a trail rig, when you can just laugh at a dent and spray some primer on cracked paint...?
So glad you're an asshole to everyone, not just me <3

I like the idea of screwing them down to a board, makes retrieval easy. I'd never thought of that myself.
