I'm pretty sure those just released. So new, I doubt anyone has done it yet.

Damn. I thought it was a calibrate once and forget it device.
I didn't know that California won't allow it or that it needs to be behind the dash at all times.
How would they even know during a smog check that it's there? Would it throw some code?

    I found a video of it's install.

I had mine done 4:88's. I would suggest you lock up the front while your in there ! The shop I use in Phoenix did not charge me anymore in labor just the part from ARB .
If you want it later your going to regret not doing it up front.

Same here when I reached out to them in September. The 3rd gens are so new that they haven’t received enough demand and the cores aren’t readily available yet.

Hopefully this GB will help. It should save on labor costs, and even allow you to DIY since a swap is easier than doing he gears yourself.

I just see them on their website and can add to cart, which incidentally also requires a refundable core charge. I haven’t called them to confirm in stock.

For anyone that has regeared, does shop time of 12 hours sound about right, 6 each front and rear. -?- I’m also getting quoted at 8 hours for using a preAssembled from ECGS. I can understand 12 hours, due the fine tuning required on a build kit from Nitro, might be a bit padded there? I don’t know. 8 hours for the preAssembled swap could make sense, but also seems padded. I don’t know for certain. Biggest fear is getting taken for a ride on shop time to do the work.

Live in the BayArea, CA. Not sure if anyone has a great shop they trust around here. My first Taco. ;)

My bad- I was just quoting their website... not shipping to California is just legalese that they apparently don’t really follow. Sorry about that - as you were...

Lol. You won't have an issue. Does not effect smog at all. And yes they can ship them to your door in
I've had it for a few months, it doesn't affect anything related to smog and it ships to your door. Took all of 10 minutes. Highly recommended to anyone with larger tires.

There are no dumb questions right? lol So, I don't know what the recalibration does other than making the speedo and tach needle point at the right place. Does this actually interface with the CPU to manage shift points in an AT? Or, how exactly does it provide a value to the trucks performance?

What took 10 minutes? We are talking about assembled 3rd members from ECGS, hence the question I was responding to.

@CooleyOne I see a few people already recommended them, but Rear End Specialists did mine and did a really good job. They even didn't charge me more due to the complexity of my truck (long travel/skids). I can't recall the price for install but I was right around 1k - maybe a little less. I can find the invoice if you really want to know.
