Lol my mom got good at doing that to squirrels; little fuckers made nests in the engine bay of her car as well as chewed through the spark plug wires. She was out for blood and I think her Italian blood brought out the mafia side in her.

 

I set up poison traps in my house and tucked them anywhere I heard scampering. You may deal with a little smell behind the walls for a couple weeks, but it definitely did the trick.

 

Or monstaliner. @BadDNA can tel you about how durable it is

 

National Grid is good for that. Needed my gas turned on when I moved. Had to wait a week for them to come. They claimed they couldn't get access to the basement, even though the doors were wide open. Never called to say they were there. Had to reschedule, and wait another week.

 

I hate that sort of shit.

The Mrs called them this morning to complain, and supposedly they are coming out today. Gave them my number, and said they would call when they are on the way. Still no call... doubt they'll come, or call.

Already looking into other options. TMobile hotspot seems like the way to go to my, at the recommendation of @Breakfast Taco

 

I used to have a Verizon 3G usb modem. It was like having another phone account without minutes, only data. I don't think Verizon offers anything like that anymore. I have my phone modified to use hotspot with unlimited data for no extra cost. It's usually as fast as my home internet too. I've considered canceling it to save some cash.

 

I reached out to Verizon, they don't have anything for me because of where I live.

Not really... I think it's something to do with the way the state is split up when it comes to crap like that.

Cable TV for example... for some weird reason if I got cable, I could only get Charter. But Danbury, who is the next town over, can only get Comcast, or whatever the fuck it is that they go by now. Same goes for phone... I get stuck with either frontier (who took over for AT&T when they left). Internet, same deal... frontier, or Charter. Some weird crazy ass BS story.

 

Yeah I figured it would be expensive, still waiting to hear back on the quote. I would love to do it myself but I don't have a garage to do it in, and it looks like it's going to rain for the foreseeable future. I may be stuck paying for it...

I hated having mice in the house, and that smell they made behind the walls.... but I couldn't drown them.. We used the poison traps, which worked really well!

Same thing goes for hunting. I like shooting guns, but I'd only kill if I had to eat. I don't want to be cruel :/

 

I don't know how T-Mobile works, but I had an experience with Verizon... when I moved to my new place I called in advance to make sure Comcast had cable on the street. Turned out they were wrong, the cable was 3 poles away and it was going to cost me $8000 minimum and take up to a year. So I called Verizon and upped my data for a month to a 10gb plan temporarily and used my phone as a mobile hotspot. In about 3 or 4 days I had used almost all of that data. An hour of Netflix is like 2gb. Luckily I discovered that another company, TDS Telecom had fiber on the street. Go figure, no cable but I have fiber. Anyway, the hot spot thing would never work for me, just giving you a heads up. I wish you luck Nuno, must be a total PITA especially with little ones in the house!

We don't really stream a lot of stuff to be honest. It's mostly to go online and browse the web a bit, do a little work from home after the kids go to bed, things like that. Nothing too crazy like a lot of streaming. If we do stream it's just here and there, not a lot of time.

We'll see... we'll see.

 

Oh, might work for you then. I'm kinda a power user, I do a lot of work from home and stream a lot.

 

Crossing water helps also. Bring the little bastard to the other side of a river and they'll have a hard time coming back.

We had to do that with an opossum that we caught in a have a heart trap. My dad had a gray squirrel relocation campaign for the ones he caught in his garden and we caught one of those. He dropped the squirrels off on his way to work, some 30 miles away and across a reservoir but the opossums are mean. You're not supposed to kill anything in the traps because the blood could deter any future animals from going in.
