Weird...my dealer required a $1,000 deposit before they would place my order.

They told you base price will be available today? I wonder if options pricing is coming too.

I'll post up the pricing this evening. They included pricing on the options but don't have the packages listed. The "dealer installed" vs "locally installed" options look pretty similar to the 2017's. Without the sheet in front of me, total pricing came out to be just over $37,500 with black out package, cargo bed light, predator tube steps, floor mats, mud flaps, and no other packages. I get the pricing at $200 over invoice (not msrp) for military.

Cool...I knew base pricing was posted on TW but was hoping dealers would have those official numbers soon.

In what region are you located? My sales dude told me that each region will more than likely have slightly different pricing and release dates.....

My dealer told me $500 but changed it to $250 when I asked if he could split it between two credit cards, I was happy

The sucky part of a special order is they know they kind of have you. It isn't like you are as likely to just say forget it and go get one at a different dealer.

    Yep,
I have been down that road. I special ordered a ford using the X Plan and they still tried to screw me with dealer added options for paint protection, protect-o-plate, pin stripes and window tint for like $2500. I specifically told them not to add anything to the car and they still did it and said they are required by the dealer owner to put those on every vehicle. It was not in the negotiated price, so I walked away.... They called me an hour later and offered to reduce it to $1500, I told them even if it was free, it was the principle and the fact that I asked you not to do something and you still did it, hoping I would just give in. Nope, have a nice life, will never be back.

That's an excellent point, problem is that some of us have been waiting for this truck for so long that we've broken the cardinal rule of purchasing a vehicle.

That seems very high with no packages....

I would expect around 34k with options, plus tax, tag and title. Holdback is normally 2% of MSRP, negotiate that money! Dont pay MSRP for options and dont pay invoice or above for the truck! Only trucks that get that special treatment are TRD PRO's as there are just not that many produced and available.

Yeah, I'm in agreement...only way I would order is if I knew it was a hot item which would mean they don't have to come off the price much at all. Which may very well be the boat we're in when it comes to Tacomas...they know they're gonna sell...although, I think they apparently made too many 17's.
