It was packed as "efficiently" as it gets. When I hit the front gate, there wasn't. Teaspoon of space left, stacked several inches above the bed. Obviously you didn't pay much attention to what was in the truck. I was packing for 3 people, where you were packing for 1. And I was hauling a few things to deliver to other people. (CO2 tank, a few odd parts, etc) Food (for 3) in one cooler. Drinks (for 3 + beer) in a cooler. 3rd cooler was used as a dry box for personal items (clothes) I learned how to pack Army style. No wasted space....travel light....You're talking to someone who did 21 day training missions living out of an 85lb pack. Nothing unneccisary. But when you have a 12 year old with you in wet, cold weather, you have extra everything. Simple math. 3 people take more space than 1.

I did tent camp, in colder weather. Correct. So, I packed accordingly.

My truck bed was all but full to the rails, cab nearly full as well. Brought more than MREs to eat too.

This isn't a pissing match man...

Not in a pissing match, but you might want to realize not everyone there was travelling with gear for one person.

If you filled your truck with kit for one person, don't you think I might have been loaded pretty damn lean to carry kit for 3 AND seating for 3?

Did that in Ranger training in Army. Wouldn't want to do it again.....Got dropped for 21 days with 2 days provisions....I was 39 years younger....and a lot skinnier.

Back to the RTT and trailer topic that spiraled us down this rabbit hole!

The 3 trailers in our camp were nothing short of badass! If I could afford it, and pull it with my baby 2.7, I'd have one. Hands down.

One thing I've noticed....about a third of the people I know that bought RTTs end up selling them.

And I cannot find a used expo trailer. They tend to stay with original purchaser.

Not sure what to make of that other than anyone who shells out the big bux for a trailer is probably pretty sure of themselves before they write that check.
