I know this feel...

The house I live in now, the house I purchased is because the love of my life liked it and wanted it.

There is a saying in the real estate industry that goes like... "What Mama wants, Mama gets". I think it applies in your situation too.

 

Real snow tires help a lot, although I have to say the only time I've been stuck in snow was when I got off camber in it otherwise the KO2s are actually a pretty good substitute in the snow. No problem climbing packed snow covered hills on Spokane's south hill and US 195.

well, i got the satisfaction last night when she looked at me with a mischevious yet worried grin and said "damn maybe we should have taken your derpy stinkin trailer" haha

We found a trailer house, was older and she HATED it. I liked it, but mostly because it had a yard and a nice shop to work on the vehiciles and space for audio projects too. Had she not been in the picture id be there now haha

But yeah. Whatever.

She wants to be in columbus anyways as well. So we will keep looking.

I let the air out of my maxx's last night to 30psi. Helped a ton. But even snow tires won't help that much. When the roads suck and visibility is low, you still can't go fast. Doubles my commute time to an hour and a half...one way.

Devin has snow tires. Got them mounted yesterday. I doubt she could drive anywhere without them haha Barely goes anywhere though with snow deeper than 4''.

 

yeah we will get something she likes. Other wise like i said, id be sleeping in a trailer house and living in the shop

 

Haha, well I'm sure you'll find something although moving in snow storms is going to suck now. I like snow and driving in snow, but I'm glad it's 80 degrees and sunny here haha

 

Still better than a couple miles across LA...

 

Seriously though, I skirted around all that LA basin shit and still got hung up around Palm Springs. That whole place is cursed to drive under 10mph on all of its highways.

 

i don't mind it either. but 40+miles of it in the dark after a full day of work...not fun haha

Was 110 a couple days ago, hot but I was still able to go for a ride on the Harley without it overheating. That's my cutoff, when it's too hot to ride the Harley then it's too hot for me to work outside

What bindings you using now? I wanna try out some Unions.

 

Ive got some Salomon Defenders coming in the mail, those are a stiffer free ride binding,

and i have some Malavita bindings on my K2 Fast plant.

Ive never used Unions before, so I can't share any opinions on how they flex sadly. Which model are you looking at?
I just read some of their stuff on the Forged Carbon bindings and holy shit that sounds rad! The Ultra is 10/10 stiffness ha! I want to try a binding like that, where you fucking twitch your leg and have immediate edge initiation.

I was looking at the Union Force if I recall right, but he K2 Cinch has me interested too. I have some Flows and while I do love them I am open to some clickers again.

 

I just (last year with 1 ride on it) got a Libtech T.Rice Pro HP, so nice and light and I wanna keep that in the bindings as well. lighter, faster, tighter.

 

Did you guys see the new focus has a drift stick!! Literally an electronic brake lever for the purpose of iniating high angle drifts.

I love this! So much stupidity will come out of this I'm sure!

 

Looks like an awesome board! I'd love to give one a ride at some point! Very interesting edge cut too, all serrated. Certainly giving the kind of riding I'm doing now I'm in the same boat, I value stiffness/responsiveness and high speed control more than flex and spinability.

 

whats sad is..well..almost every car had that for decades. Its called the E brake.

Now its electronic so they get to charge you more for it!
