Do you have a snake/lizard/small child or something that you're feeding them to?

This works the best in areas that you can't or don't want to check every day. Instead of plastic a cardboard tube work as well. Also good idea to add a lil rv antifreeze to kill them quicker. A lot rv people do this for winter storage.

I got three of them! I'll refrain from posting a picture for @DoubleRGirl 's sake.

Those mice aren't as friendly as you'd think! They ate the bait off the traps that killed their comrades. Either there are more that didn't get caught and they did it, or ones that got killed did it before they met their own demise. I reloaded all the traps and put them back up. See what we get for round 2.

We have found slim Jim's to work quite well, they're harder to get off than cheese or peanut butter

With antifreeze you have to make sure pets can't get into it. It'll do a number on em.

I need to come up with an alternative to going up every day, I think. It's a half hour project to drag the ladder out and set it up, climb up and bring the boards down, dispose of the mice, reset the traps, bring them back up, and put away the ladder.

The bucket thing could work out. Might try to rig one up this weekend and see how it does. Then I can just go up every few days and collect them.

Antifreeze is a good idea. Might even attract them more. Then I don't need to worry about the water freezing up there. Only unwanted critters can get into the attic anyway, so not worried about it being poisonous to others.

I used to have one of those small hatches to get in my attic. I installed the pull down stairs in the hallway and it made things a lot easier. They're not bad to install

IMG_0688.jpg IMG_0682.jpg I started hearing gnawing noises in my house at dark.
That kind of pissed me off.
So I set a rat trap on the sill in my basement.
Now this is a Field stone basement ,so they can find lots of ways in.
I ended up getting 3 what some told me where flying squirrels.

    They already opened.

I'll avoid it for a while since it will be so packed. I like the Greenfield one.
