I think I've got 245s on it now, so that would be a good change

Take it slow, and come out on a couple of runs with us before you start making big moves on it. Learn how you'll drive it before you start modding it.

What sort of budget? That will be influence what you can get. Pretty much any upgrade is going to be better than stock ride wise.

These are all my opinions of course, some will agree with them and other disagree

Shock wise you have some options...

Bilstein 5100's or Old Man Emu - Pretty cheap but a decent upgrade over stock. Bilstein 5100's are adjustable for height via the shock. OME you decided based on the spring you choose.

Icon/Fox/King - All good choices. Youll see King the most I would say. Probably followed by Icon and then Fox.. You can go research the difference in valving if you really want. But I would bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a "blind" test. These are rebuild able so they should last a very long time pending any stupidity. They are going to cost a bit more upfront though. But again they should last a very long time and the ride quality (again IMO) is a step up from the OME/Bilstein offerings. They are adjustable for ride height and you can swap out springs as well to avoid having to much preload. For your use I wouldn't bother with remote reservoir options unless it was a good deal.

Then you come to Upper control arms and lower control arms....

LCA's...not really needed for your use

UCA's...good to do if you can afford them as it keeps better angles and offers more alignment options (generally). Im not honestly to date on which is the best though. I run Icon's tubular ones and have been happy with them. Others run Dirt King, Total Chaos, Light Racing, and im sure others.

Leaf Springs are the last area -

Add-A-Leafs....personally I'd avoid them if you can. More of a Band-Aid lift than anything IMO.

Full packs....OME Dakar's are what I run (and others) and are quite happy with. Ive found they really like having extra weight in the bed though. But will help a lot with towing, extra weight, ect. All-Pro makes a pack as does Alcan and Deaver so it is sort of a just pick which one sounds best to you.

Anyways hope that helps give you at least a start. You are lucky cause there are normally sales for Black Friday so you have a bit of time to plan things out and do research then be able to buy what you want

    Sorry Jim!
There could be much more to say but it's probably better left unsaid....

Sooooo I’m at the darrington ranger station with a failed brake line. Anyone know of a way for me to get back to Renton without paying $100,000,000?

Not sure if it helps at all but I have stainless rear extended brake lines I have been sitting on for almost a year. I could run them out there for a field replacement if no better options are available/that even helps your current situation...

I’m pretty sure I have a cracked hard line on the front passenger side. Not sure what parts are included in an extended brake line. None of the shops around here can even look at it for a week so I might just bend over and have it towed all the way back home

Not sure if budget tow is still around, they were the cheapest I ever used. A dude with a built diesel and a flatbed trailer.

Unfortunately no parts that can help a leaking hard line. My time and tools are available but unfortunately that's all I have to offer at this point.
